I have been betting the NFL for the past two seasons in Panama City, Panama where my company has an office. I set up an account with sportsinteraction.com at my office in Philadelphia with a beginning balance of $1,800 and began wagering when I reached Panama. After about 4 weeks, and being down about $180, I read an online post about sportsinteraction ripping people off and not paying. I decided to request a check for $1,000 to see if the rumors were true. To my delight, the transaction seemed to go through with no problems but I was surprised they had deducted $40 from my account for a "check fee" even though the site clearly states they offer one free check per month.
I waited a couple of days and decided to go online (from Panama City) and place some wagers expecting a balance of around $600... To my shock sportsinteraction had not only refused my check but closed and confiscated the entire account!
As instructed I contacted the security department both by email and telephone and they sent me a long list of required documents to re-open my account including: bank statements, passport, plane tickets, proof of employment, etc... I guess they assume no one would actually comply to this massive invasion of privacy. I sent them everything and more.
The reason they gave me for closing and confiscating the money in my account is that my IP address where I requested the check did not match the IP address where I set up the account. I questioned this policy with one of their service representative - using a hypothetical so if I set up an account with sportsinteraction.com at my house, went to Starbucks and used their WIFI connection to place a bet that is OK, but if I request a check online from that same Starbucks WIFI IP Address, then the account is closed and the funds are confiscated? Further, I asked If this is so, then why don't you simply refuse the check, keep the account active and politely ask for the documentation to clear the matter. Finally I asked sportsinteraction why, if they were so concerned about matching IP's, did they accept my wagers from the Panama IP address?
The bottom line my fellow sports addicts is that sportsinteraction will use any excuse to not pay you. My advice is to use - 5dimes, BetJamaica or bodog, I have had positive experiences with these sportsbooks and maintain good working relationships with them.
If anyone is reading this string and you know anything about this company please provide me with information as to where there offices are located, I'm going to do whatever it takes to put these con artists out of business.
