Several years ago I sent a wire to them, and I swore I would never do it again. I had to send it to a bank in Antigua, and "Matchbook" was on the information. The bank lady pressed me on what it was for, and I had to make up a story on the spot. It was very uncomfortable, although it did go through.

So last week I decided to fund again for NBA season and after looking at all the other options I decided to see how a wire went. This time it was sent to a European country, and the bank treated it as a completely routine transaction--although they were confused by how to translate the information that MB had sent me onto their form. So I had them fax it to MB, MB faxed it back--and it went smooth from there.

This is just to say that if you're afraid of bank wires, as I have been, there's no reason to be. Some banks even allow you to do it online, though not mine.
