I thought that when they banned it lasted more than 5-10 minutes? I had problems with it in the past but not in a while now.

In any case, drop them an e-mail and let them know that you want dual software like 12bet/188bet. I would use them a lot more if the site would be quicker, i.e. you would not have to navigate all the time if you want to look at different leagues.

Dynamic lines are completely useless at this point as well. For me, they'll refresh once and then I'm given the ol' heave ho and a 5 minute "time out" to ponder my sins.....

I agree that dynamic lines don't refresh quick enough. Many times today I hit refresh and the lines popped up and I wondered how long those lines had been for because they weren't automatically coming up with the dynamic refreshing. I used to his refresh once every 6 seconds or so but now I leave it and let the dynamic lines do most of the work and refresh once in awhile when I really need to see a number and it's so far working pretty good.Haven't been locked out that much the last 4 days or so. Still happens on occassion though

I've never placed a live bet with pinnacle. Tried a few soccer games but it didn't work, they just keep cancelling them or updating odds

Pinnacle has been going down regularly for 2-5 min at a time during busy times of the day, I always wondered maybe it's not me but the system?

There's a very good reason that they do this. It puts everyone on an even playing field - think about the possibilities otherwise.

Send them an e-mail and ask them to use inplaymatrix software for live betting ... which in turn would require them to add an interface like 12bet. I am not sure how that would work though if they want to set their own odds... but it would be great if they actually had a nice, working interface like 12bet and sbobet. It is actually possible to bet on live events there. Seeing as inplaymatrix will be moving the lines, they would not have insane "danger zone" rules, but rather focus on pre-live odds.

Started several weeks ago, and the tolerance level keeps getting lowered. Would not be near the problem if they:
- Had a multi-sport "bet the board" screen so you only have to load one page
- Publish their buy/sell point options on their XML feed

I don't know exactly what they will put up with as far as refreshing their site's pages, but as a point of reference, they don't want you to call their XML feed more than once every sixty seconds (see quote below).

Please refrain from using a very high frequency of calls to the xml feed. Pinnacle Sports reserves the right to monitor usage of the XML feed and block the IP address range of any user that abuses this service. 1 call per minute is considered an acceptable usage of the feed.

I saw their new sportsbook software last week. It's very nice. The live betting platform will be much improved especially for those bets that are close to the play.

When is the new software supposed to be released? For some reason every time a book does this it's horrible. I like pinnacle just fine the way it is (minus getting booted for refreshing too much). Hopefully they don't totally screw us.

It looks finished now but they won't be beta testing it for months. We can't estimate a time yet but there will be a lot of testing since, like a bank, the software handles money. It looks really good aesthetically and will make for faster betting.

Bill, this is solid suggestion. They have hinted they were looking into this.

Weird that they are updating the live betting software again. The site was just changed about a year ago wasn't it? Well if it makes things easier then I would welcome a software change. With this being said, I had some problems with the live betting last night being booted off the site but it was working fine for a couple days before that. The thing that pisses me off is that the amount of time that the live betting is up is so minimal since its during commercials and pinnacle seems to put up the odds slow so you have to refresh because the first refresh brings up the spread, then the second refresh brings up the total then the third refresh brings up the moneyline.It's a pain. If the live lines were up fast right when the break occurs then we wouldn't have to constantly refresh. Plus this slow refreshing like they want us to do has made it so that I get alot of "time expired" screens when trying to place a bet

I've had the same problem with the dynamic lines where they just stop refreshing, and even "update lines" doesn't help, I have to go to a different screen and then back to the screen I want.

This to me is the worst part of their software. Love everything about Pinny except for that. Sometimes that makes live bets or other quick moving lines absolutely unplayable, as you keep on getting booted back to the main screen sometimes four times in a row, at which time the line can move as much as 40 cents. I don't get that part at all, why they can't just get the option of playing at the new price.

That being said, Pinny remains my absolute favorite out, and I'm very glad to still have access to it, and sorry for my American friends who don't.
