    Sportsbook.com

I made a 1k deposit with Sportsbook.com at the beginning of NFL season and have almost cleared my $200 bonus. I planned on sticking with them and betting the whole season but just came across the SBR review D-?!? Now I am kind of worried. I've been a customer there for 5 years but never made a cash out, never made a big deposit like I did this year either though.

    Any personal experience or thoughts?

i use bettingexpress.com. same thing. you will have no problems with payouts once you have sent them the signed form they require and you may also have to send them id and a bill to confirm your residence. people have been complaining about the forms and id requirement forever. call them before you ask for a payout ask them what they will need. get it out of the way. good bonus. good lines. nfl-nba--college football and basketball --105 lines on friday.fast payouts. good live betting lines and plenty of them.

AFAIK the D- is due to them confiscating correlated parlay winnings and canceling pending future bets with positive equity. I would recommend withdrawing after your bonus is cleared because you never know what kind of crap they'll pull in the future, but I wouldn't necessarily be too worried about the $1k.

I have done two wire transfers from them in the past 6 months or so. The second one was last week. Both were surprisingly fast. The money hit my bank account within 5 days. Both were 4 figures.

Sportsbook has been known to screw over advantage gamblers and bonus whores. You can't trust them completely. If you are a recreational bettor though, you will definitely get paid.

The D- rating is mostly because they don't advertise with SBR. They are head and shoulders better than joke book BetPhoenix, but they're not paying SBR large fees for advertising and referrals. Don't take the SBR ratings too seriously. SBR has shown itself to be far from objective in these matters.

Edit to add: And don't play in the casino...

Another edit: sorry, meant to say 4 figures lol, I need some sleep

Surprisingly enough, after reading a few negative comments about them, I was paid a four figure sum in under 48 hours, the only slight drama was getting my I.D. documents accepted by their system, so far I have found them to be very good, but will still tread cautiously.

I got paid 6k in 3 days. They pay.

All those reviews are from years ago when they had payment processing problems.

I've been with them for 15 years and have always been paid quickly. I guess there was a problem with parlays in the past but I always play straight bets and have never had any issues with this book. The only book that I'm aware you need to stay away from is WSEX. It took almost a year for me to get a bank check from them.

I'm thinking of switching to Sportsbook myself. I notice that Bet Phoenix won't post money line bets above 9 points. I think that's pretty chicken shit. Anyone having real problems getting a cash out from Sportsbook or can suggest a good book, that's not chicken shit.

They are not very fast with cashier's check but if you have one of their debit cards or an Use My Wallet account, the money will be there the next day.

Everyone thinks sb.com is a great book until they're the one getting cheated. They stole $150K from me and they will do it again. Play with the books at the top of the screen.

Stole 9k from me, too. If you have to play with Jazette, stick to the higher rated skins like BetUSA and Brobury (B- for both).

WOW! 150k? What happened? What did they tell you? Did you hit some big parlay?

SBR's ratings can no longer be trusted. I signed up for BetPhoenix because I saw they had good lines, and because they were highly rated on SBR - big mistake. They stole $3K from me.

BP is hands down the worst book I have ever played at, and I have been a Sportsbook.com customer for about 10 years and do realize how shady they are.

    KGambler,

Did you file a complaint? I have never heard of BP screwing anyone. If they stole 3k from you, they would not be rated where they are.

Search the forum from 2007 and you'll find a 10,000 post thread about sportsbook.com not paying anybody for most of that year. That happened to coincide with me going on just about the sickest rush possible. Once they started paying again I requested my money and they told me I wasn't getting paid. Read the archives for a more detailed account of my theft among others. Their business model is based on attracting hoards of losing players by accident with the best domain names and stealing from the biggest winners who lack any recourse.

I've withdrawn $17K from there in the past few months, and the payouts have been like lightning, so it's not as bad as you say. They do kind of suck though. I have been screwed by them as well (obviously not to the tune of $150K). Overall I am a big winner there and have gotten paid, except in some cases where they have cheated me out of bonuses.

Lou "handled" those complaints. Mostly he ignored our requests for info as they tried to formulate an acceptable lie. They failed to come up with a lie that made sense given BP's earlier assertion that only our IP addresses ever showed up in their logs, so they later backtracked on a very specific claim of us having been hacked from clicking a malicious link over at 2+2. Now they flatly refuse to say anything whatsoever regarding the matter. I have begged for an explanation about where the malicious link story came from, but they simply ignore me.

Two out of the four victims were paid in full by BP.

    This is clearly not true.

Anyway, at least SBR did not delete or edit my threads. I tried to post my story over at Covers. They deleted my threads and said that I had to talk to a moderator over the phone first. I spoke to Lou from Covers and he told me that he had already spoken to Richard, that he trusted Richard and that he could not allow me to post this negative story about one of his sponsors. He pointed out that without advertisers, there would be no forum. I asked him if I could post my story, and have him put a note in the thread that stated he had looked into it and trusted Richard's word that there was no hacking. He still said no, he could not allow this negative post about his sponsor. It was really pathetic.

Richard must have a pretty big advertising budget, because he really throws his weight around with these forum owners and he gets what he wants. Or maybe they are all just buddies down in San Jose, CR...

I would never consider depositing at BetPhoenix under any circumstances. A bad joint that pays money for a good SBR rating.

    Jazette is fine in moderation.

I guess it depends. For 99% of customers, it is.

Your statement that their business plan is to stiff big winners is an exaggeration. They are definitely not a top book, but they are not an F or a D-.

I wonder what your limits were to win 150K, and why they never cut them. They cut limits very aggressively nowadays.

Pretty funny story there in your signature Justin. Personally, I've trusted a friend of a friend - who lived across an ocean and that I'd never actually met before - with 10K in cash to place a wager. When you're a bettor, your view of money shifts dramatically from something that is precious to just another commodity that ebbs and flows. Someone who didn't know the lifestyle would think you are insane/stupid (and they'd be right) but reading that snippet it just seems completely run of the mill to me. In a way it's a bit liberating because you're not a slave to your bank account anymore.
