    Bodog is stupid

    I just got off the phone with bodog. The rep was so stupid that I was practically laughing at her by the end of the conversation.

    Not sure if everyone was offered this, but I got a 50% bonus email if I deposited by tonight. (Up to $500 bonus.) I told them I'd like to deposit via **. (I had also mentioned that I would like to deposit via ** to another rep on the phone the other day.) They won't give out any deposit information unless you talk to them on the phone. Then I get on the phone and the person tells me they don't accept **. So I ask for **. I find out they aren't taking that either...

    Well I don't like using cards, but I have a debit card, so I decide I might as well give that a shot. She tells me I should use wire if I want to deposit a full grand. I have to remind her that I want a 50% deposit bonus and the deposit must be in by tonight. So she tells me she has to break up the deposit into 2 x $500 deposits. She tries the first deposit...it goes through. She tells me I have the 500 + 250 bonus. Then she tries the second one...it doesn't go through. She tells me I can call back and try to deposit the rest later. Then I ask her if I can try moneylinq and get the rest of the bonus that way. Then she tells me that they offer a 20% bonus through moneylinq. I tell her I just got a 50% bonus and I want the rest of that. She says 20% again. So I'm all WTF? and so I ask if I can deposit later can I get the other 50% through a credit card. She tells me the 50% is only on the first deposit. WTF? again. (It seems like I was only going to get the bonus on the first of the two deposits had the second deposit gone through.) Throughout this entire conversation I am thinking this is a pretty dumb conversation I have been having (and there's plenty of dumb conversation I left out). She is very serious for this entire conversation and I can't help but laugh while talking to her for the last minute.

    If this wasn't Bodog I might be pretty annoyed....but it's just bodog.

    This is definitely a pretty stupid situation. I can't understand what was she thinking when she told you to break the deposit into 2 parts since there is no 50% bonus for the second deposit. Complete lack of competence and common sense.

    its ridiculous Filipino outsourcing call center bullshit..they repeat like a stupid parrot what I just said back to me, and still have NO clue what the point of my call is....then that torturous music on hold!!!!!
    its more like Cambodian POW war camp noise...twenty minutes later they spoke to their 'supervisor' and give me a different answer to the same similar situation each time.

    miss the good old days when my italian bookie in queens NY would just curse and give me a straight answer...thats why i may switch to creditwagering.com

    i wouldn't worry about depositing with them..i can only speak to thier US operations...you'll get paid, just with all their products ie live betting , poker sports, etc...they have problems solving things fast, but if you're not like me (meaning you are a patient reasonable person) should be ok...
    try to play thier dogs...they were saints -6 at gametime when most others were 49's +4

    Dam, that is one of the reasons I left them a couple of years a go, most books are bad on CSvc, but I found that the greek is the best, but the whole industry is getting worse by the day. GL

    That is just crazy!

    I would probably talk to an account manager or something and try and get that 50% bonus on the next deposit since it was them that broke it into 2 deposits. I would claim it is one deposit but two methods, since they are well aware of there own limitations regarding deposit methods and the incompetence of this sales rep. Just my 2 cents.

    Bodog is a good book, anyone depositing there has no worries. I have had positive experiences with their CS. Not 100% of the staff is good, you get bad apples everywhere, except Heritage.

    I heard bodog.co.uk is frickin crap. All these bodog sites have different owners. I heard bodog.ca is fine. Not sure how bodog.com is for the States.

    bodog is by far the only book ive ever wanted to post up at, but never have because of the same thing you are going through about **,and **.they told me they only let older custermers use those options.i like their props,but for me they are to much of a hassel.thank god theirs 5dimes and the greek.

    That's why I don't play at Bodog. I asked for a ** name over their live chat. They said I had to call. I told them i'm going to Bookmaker/DSI where you don't have to call. Bodog loses out on a lot of money. People don't like to be inconvenienced.

    Lots of places deal dual lines or public lines or bonus only lines. Even the lines posted on sbr are not the lines I receive at certain books. Yes, it is kind of a pain, but I just work around it. If Bodog doesn't have the line you like then just pick another book for that play.

    Of course I might add, I currently do not have my Bodog account funded as I pulled out right at the beginning of their payment issues a while back, but now that they appear to have turned things around, I will probably be back with them next MLB season.

    Unless you ask her if Bodog deals dual lines or if they play games with prop bettors, using lengthy delays to allow the prop bettors to adjust their lines for them, in which case you're met with stony silence. When a rep is too busy pimping the latest CalvinAyre.com party or posting a long list of Bodog's registered domains while refusing to answer any questions about various shady Bodog practices, you can't expect them to be all that popular. It would be like a poker representative of Ultimate Bet posting lots of crap while refusing to answer any questions about the super-user cheating scandal from a couple years back. Dealing dual lines is against the law in Vegas and pretty much any licensed jurisdiction but Bodog does it with impunity. (There are certainly casinos in Vegas who attempt to "deal dual lines" but they aren't nearly as obvious nor frequent about it.)

    Most of those line issues are due to delays, not the book dealing dual lines. The only well known books I know of that deal dual lines are Bodog and BetUS.

    The obvious question is that since Bodog has been dealing dual lines for at least 6 or 7 years (I opened my account around 2003 or 2004 and they were already known for dealing dual lines), why do they strenuously deny it if asked, or completely avoid the question? As a general rule of thumb, if a company needs to deny a well known and obvious business practice, there's probably something wrong about that practice.

    Sure Bodog deals dual lines and is extremely slow posting lines. But They pay fast and have some incredible lines on Underdogs. They are definately worth keeping a little money in. The customer service at almost all books is horrible not just Bodog.

    More often than not I think Bodog actually has above average CS for a sportsbook. Plus it helps that Becky is around to take care of you around here.

    Bodog is usually good on CS if you are patient with them, sometimes slow at getting things processed.
