    BetPhoenix

I am considering depositing $3,000 with BetPhoenix and was hoping to hear some feedback prior to doing so. I have heard very mixed reviews relating to this book. Personally I can tolerate incompetent customer service as long a I get paid eventually. So basically I really have one key question, is my money safe here?

I am going to turn that $3,000 into about $6,000 over the course of the football season and want to rest assured that they aren't going to scam a relatively small time bettor like myself. I understand there are better books out there, but for a player at my level those bonuses are extremely tempting.

The only reason I mentioned my stakes is because it seems like a lot of the complaints turn up when someone is trying to withdraw large sums of money and they meet resistance. Does a $3,000 deposit, with $1,000 bonus and $2,000 in winnings fall into this category?

Considering the reviews they have had recently and on going problems, you would be well advised to deposit your money elsewhere, lesser bonus perhaps but at least a good chance of actually getting paid.

Just make sure you make a partial cash out mid way through the football season so you don't get stuck at the end of season evacuation.

SBR is the best forum for getting feedback from players. SBR allows free speech.

SBR is a business too. They get $$ from sportsbooks. Nuff said.

Also, it's funny how you automatically assume your gonna double up b4 the regular season has even started.

I played with them awhile back no issues, only play 40-50 bucks a game, deposited 500, lines seem inflated at times. Got paid as told and on time.

I like your confidence--and with their bonus structure for the new season--you will likely make it. No worries abt getting paid if you are flexible in that regard. If ewallets and/or checks are slow--take a wire, etc

Disclosure: I am on delay, limits and no bonus.

Why is that funny? Why would I invest $3,000 in something if I didn't know what kind of return I was going to get?

Thank you for the response, but I am concerned that once a player tries to make a 2 or 3 withdrawls of $2,000 to $3,000, that's when you see shady things start to happen. It seems like a lot of people on this thread are very anti-betphoenix. I find it odd that SBR ranks them a B+ with so much negative feedback.

SBR get advertising $$$ from BP

The recent history of payouts is horrendous

It does appear that they are trying to pay withdrawals but they just don't have the money, i.e. they are insolvent

New money coming in for the NFL season appears to be helping to some extent but expect the same thing to develop at the end of the season when players want to take their cash out again

You would be much better advised to play at other books and Matchbook where you should be able to get better odds. And Parlaymakers offer Pinnacle lines and odds too.

I deposited 3gs also. I feel my money is safe. Most of these people giving negative feedback on betphoenix never had an account with them. Here's how I look at how safe a book is, if there is no thread about them that means they are paying...maybe not lighting fast but paying. For the last two weeks there has been no thread about betphoenix until this one. A high profile book like betphoenix would have numerous threads if they are indeed not paying. I say deposit away.

Might have to keep badgering them...but that was factored in before I made my deposit. I am confident they will pay or else my money would not be in there.

so they are happy to do such damage to their reputation by deliberately slow paying?

Habeeb? I see you in quite a few Phoenix threads offering your sage advice. How long did it take for your last withdrawal at Phoenix? OP may get his best, real answer from the answer I get.

Delay: it means I place a bet, go get a cup of coffee and a snack and come back and see if it was accepted or not.

Oh yeah? BS the delay is like 20sec, I hit them prob harder than anyone else on this forum and they paid me, yeah some of the staff over there are dumber than a bag of hammers but they do deal with things in the open.

'fair 'nuff, I've never got a withdrawal from BP

my posts are a reaction to so many others which have complained about excessive waiting times, limits on withdrawals and fees to access their own money and I'm just trying to help others avoid the trap of funding books which to all intents and purposes are showing clear symptoms of insolvency

You are helping no one except maybe yourself get some betpoints. Leave these threads to people who play there. This way the OP gets "real" advice. This is not directed only at you, but to many others on here who jump into threads they know nothing abt and confuse the OP. We all have to learn.

    thanks for the honest answer.

Their owner is probably top 5 richest men in this industry. They do huge business with agents both in North America and Asia; post-up is like a hobby. Lack of money is not their problem, they just don't really give a sh t if they piss off advantage guys complaining on the forums. The overwhelming majority of patrons get paid so little or not at all that timely and sizable payments are not an issue.

there is often a big difference between one's personal wealth and the health of a business the same guy may own or have a share in

As I said before, most people bashing betphoenix never played there and are just going with hearsay. I do agree that they offer ridiculous bonuses and are not as fast in paying out as other books. But with the noob gambler, a 13x rollover is very difficult to do. And most new players don't have the discipline to not chase. All it takes is a couple of bad bets and bonus gone and bankroll gone. Like I said, I've played there and they don't pay lighting fast, but have never had an issue with getting paid.

If one requests a check for 2,000, do they send FOUR $500 checks???

Reading their site, that's what it appears.

    Hey guys two followup questions.

    1) I would have a serious problem with being on a 20 second delay. Is that consistent for all players for wagers of all sizes?

    2) Is this business about four seperate checks of $500 true? That's fine if I get them all at once, I don't care if its ten checks of $200. But I would be very irritated seeing checks slowly trickle in as opposed to receiving them all at once.
