Look at the complaints on this page

    Endless threads about Phoenix (B+)
Always a rogue sportsinteraction thread on the page (B-)
    A thread on Carib (B)

Meanwhile, no recent complaints about these books:
    SBG (D-)
    Jazette books(D/D-)

The purpose of the rating system, when it comes to getting paid, should be to identify who is likely to stiff you tomorrow. While past stiffs obviously has an effect on this rating, bad vital signs of books (especially relatively new ones) with no history of stiffs is at least as important an indicator. I feel sorry for people who take these ratings at face value.

Let's face it, there are really only two categories here. 1] The true A books, and 2] The true B books (some of which advertise here, and some of which do not and are given Ds).

Very few A books, and a lot of books that will pay but a lot of questionable actions come along with them paying

lol good argument, next time you apply for a loan tell the bank your previous credit history does not matter in regards to whether you will stiff again

Justin7 should have been downgraded to an A- after defending BetUS for so long. He's still clearly the most reliable of the SBR moderators but that doesn't mean much these days.

Fair enough. Can't complain about any of the ratings. Since you can't rate yourself, let me add you to the list at a solid B.

I think we agree on one point. BP and SB are much closer than most admit:

    Betphoenix D+
    Sportsbook D-

The books people play at are the ones that are criticized. Negative feedback on livechat at a B book is different than BetUS confiscating earned bonuses. Pointing out the worst of an A book is great for the forum. It answers the Q, what is the worst thing that's going to happen to me at a Legends or BetJamaica Sportsbook. The worst thing that is going to happen to you at SBG is you will get mugged.

There are very few active posters playing at an SBG or Betus. Thousands might have Bookmaker accts.

I've played at Phoenix and Sportsbook...no way are they comparable. Phoenix has gotten me 5 payments within a week of asking for it. I had to hassle sportsbook for over a month to get a shoddy looking check bent around the corners like it had just been typed up with a 1920's typewriter.

Phoenix is B+/A-, imo, Sportsbook should realistically be probably a C-/C. Speaking off personal experiences and about 5 friends that I know well who also play offshore.

Your high Phoenix rating is based on ** payouts which are relatively small. BP is way behind on larger figure withdrawals. Your high rating of SB.com is based on the fact they never scewed you. Both are inflated, IMO.

Are there major slow-pays for bigger balances? I know a few players that played there and won big, and all were paid at least as fast as promised on BP's site.

I hear nothing but horror stories about phoenix, some 40k+ balances being paid out at like $800/week (at best). Ouch.

Dozer is right - you can grade books based on 'what is the worst that can happen to you?', and for the A+ books that isn't getting mugged. But some of these borderline F books according to SBR suggest they are only borderline from mugging you, ie. the D- jazette books. They almost all pay any balance, even up to 20k, within 24-48 hours. While they're more likely to stiff than Pinnacle, this sort of quick payment of large balances makes it seem like a B+ book, meanwhile Phoenix struggling to pay a few hundred here and there makes it a clearly D- book.

By bigger, I mean check payouts. From my experience, they failed to get me a check last time so they switched me to **/** after nearly a month. Now my current withdrawal sits unprocessed in my account one week later. It looks to be the same thing all over again. Plus, from what I read, this is happening quite often.

Well, I guess I'm small-time enough to not have any concerns about Phoenix paying me.

If you're killing it so much that you can repeatedly request large check amounts, go to thegreek.

Greek doesn't have 105 lines. I'm not big time either. Collecting $2000 checks here and there isn't my idea of killing it.
