Matchbook: How do you get money in as a US player?

How do US players get money into Matchbook besides Book to Book transfers? They aren't taking ************ and wire doesn't seem to work.

wire works fine. as long as you enter the correct info of matchbook's bank when filling out the wire form at your local bank branch.

they also do book to book transfers instantly and free of charge with 5dimes, greek, and bet jamaica.

they do not offer **/** anymore b/c customers in the past fuked up and told ** that the transfer was for gambling purposes.

The only way I would do it is to deposit to 5D or Betjam via **, roll it a few times and transfer.

I don't trust wires or Metalpay.

MB needs ** deposits.....not to a front company in Florida but names in banana countries....like everybody else does.

I'm with Doug. Deposit at 5D and you only need to do a 1x RO before being able to transfer to MB.

no kidding try to send them cash from Canada,

they wont take can$ (witch is the most valued and stable currency lately)forcing us to convert to US$ where one always get f*ck and than spend at least 55$ for a wire.the best thing that can happen for all of us is for BLACKIE to be successful with the REBATEWAGER exchange it will force matchbook to shape-up and do so quickly or they will disappear even quicker.

$55+? You need a new bank. Anyway they reimburse you with commission credits so I don't see much to complain about.

how would an exchange work with multiple currencies? It would have to be synced with foreign exchange markets to convert it in real-time? Separate markets for US/Euro/Canada?

The US dollar is the world's currency, last time I looked it was more heavily traded then the euro, yen, and pound combined.

    HEYMAN,
If you know a Canadian bank that will charge lest than that let us know,as far as the U.S.$ IT is a unstable currency that is maintain artificially through fiat and military blackmail because it as virtually no fundamental value anymore.
However the swiss frank and can$ both have strong FUNDAMENTAL economies to back their currencies that is why they are most valued and stable currency out there. Also it is where "those in know go to for financial and wealth preserving refuge".
    doesn't betfair allow multiple currencies?

I wouldn't know. $55+ is not in the ballpark of good US banks though.

    Define unstable.

Nothing definitive, but here are some quick numbers. I don't see any difference. The Canadian economy is heavily influenced by the US to say the least.

    http://www.xe.com/currencycharts/?fr...to=EUR&view=5Y
    Euro per 1 USD: 1 yr low: .661, 1 yr high: .841, range: .180
    Euro per 1 USD: 5 yr low: .626, 5 yr high: .857, range: .231
    Pound per 1 USD: 1 yr low: .588, 1 yr high: .700, range: .112
    Pound per 1 USD: 5 yr low: .474, 5 yr high: .735, range: .261

    Euro per 1 CAD: 1 yr low: .614, 1 yr high: .803, range: .189
    Euro per 1 CAD: 5 yr low: .581, 5 yr high: .803, range: .222
    Pound per 1 CAD: 1 yr low: .527, 1 yr high: .672, range: .145
    Pound per 1 CAD: 5 yr low: .427, 5 yr high: .672, range: .245

Sweden has an equal economy (slightly higher GNP/capita, much lower PPP). Canada is a step below. America's total economic output is on the order of 10x-15x more than Canada and 30-40x more than the Swiss.

Heyman> What the Swiss Franc has to do with Sweden is anybodies guess..

On the general point, Betfair has worked with multiple currencies for years now. That Matchbook fails to do so after several years of operation is pretty poor imo.

Can someone tell me if bank wires work very smoothly from their bank into matchbook? Anyone know what bank is good for this? I heard Chase or HSBC would be good from matchbook support. I did the instant check few days ago and its probably going to hit my account next week. I was told by support that it would be better for me to do wire b/c since i deposited $3,000, my fees are $105 reimbursed in commission credits. However, if i deposit $3,000 with a wire, wire fee is generally $30-$60 and you can deposit any amount so i would have less fees/commission credits. I cannot do a wire at the moment because all i have is a BkofAma account.

Once you fund, you have by far the best lines out there and they fedex you a check in 3 days when you win, and they have very easy deposit methods for good clients.

They tell me $1500 maximum and $30 minimum. 3% fees reimbursed as commission credits. And take 2-10 business days to clear. Well at least if i deposited $3000 in 2 deposits using echeck, my commission credits would be $90 as opposed to $105 with the instant check i used last week for $3000 and I'm still waiting for that amount to hit my account.

Yes, matchbook could and should use multiple currencies. I was asking speculator an open question of how he thought it should be set up. Which instead of talking about, went off on an anti-America rant. Matchbook should transparently convert GBP/CAD/Euro/etc to USD and back using either real-time or opening exchange rates when a bet is placed. Of course Matchbook would probably have to charge a (hopefully very) small fee in order to do so as I doubt they want to expose themselves to exchange rate risk.
