Intertops Scamed Me Out Of $1842.37

My name is Zxxx Dxxxx, and I had an account with Intertops. (www.intertops.com). I deposited $250.00 using my credit card about a week or two ago. I placed some parlay bets, won, and got my account balance up to nearly $2200. The next day after winning all this money, I attempted to log into my account and payout some of my winnings. Little did I know that when I attempted to log into my account, Intertops "Risk Management" suspended my account, and I had no access to ANY of my funds. I was shocked and immediately called their customer support line (which was terrible) and asked where my money was, and why my account was suspended. They replied that I would need to contact "risk management team" the next day. The next day, I again called the "Risk Management" team of theirs, and got a response that the supervisor was gone for the weekend and to call back on Monday where they would inform me about the status of my account. I called on Monday and the gentleman told me that I had previously had an account in April (nearly a year ago)!! This is absolutely false. I had never opened an account with Intertops. If there was an account opened up, someone else used my information to form the account. I have had numerous ************ stolen and in turn have had fraudulent usage on these ************ in the past. There is not a doubt in my mind an individual used my account information to form an account in my name! So now, when I have won nearly $2,000 all of a sudden they close my account and say there is a problem and all this other garbage. Intertops refunded my initial $250 deposit back to my credit card, and told me that my other $1,842 would be confiscated! This is ridiculous and totally unfair. I have not violated ANY user terms of any sort. I NEVER OPENED AN ACCOUNT PREVIOUSLY WITH INTERTOPS!! I am a first-time user, and I demand my winnings that were legitly won and are rightfully mine. if you all can't help me, I will seek legal action and let the world know just what a scam both intertops and the antigua gaming commision really are. Please assist me in this matter. My account # at Intertops was: xxxxxxxx.

    Thank You,

    xxxx xxxx

I'm not judging you, but doesn't it seem odd that someone would steal your credit card and then use it to sign up at a sportsbook that you were to use in the future. Whats the odds on that?

Is there any hope of SBR resolving this or am I just out of luck? I already filed a complaint on this site, but how long does it usually take for SBR to get back with me?

I have already filed a complaint form yesterday, but was just questioning how long does it take for a response from SBR, and also what is the probability I will receive my funds?

He's laughing at the piss poor attempt to mask your name by typing Zxxx Dxxxx.

I'm guessing bbd did it, but didn't realize that you're last name was in your username.

I'm not exactly sure how long it will take before we will get to your dispute. I mean we do have others a head of you on the list, so please be bare with us. Now as far as your funds go. We will have to inquire to Intertops to find out exactly what they have to say on the subject.

You are correct 2pac. Not to mention I was editing this post when the FG attempt in OT was going on.

Seems busy times! Keep up the good work!

Amazing thing about this story again: A client wins and the security departments come into action, but nothing will happen when someone loses.

I am out of all Caribbean books for the moment!

Thats easy, you leave the ************ you want to be "stolen" in a wallet on top of your car in a public parking lot with a sign nearby that reads:

Feel free to take my wallet/************ and use them to open sportsbook accounts @ Intertops.

    Simple huh?

From 1997 till about 2005 I had it happen 8 times that my credit card had been skimmed. In 6 of those 8 situations the bank would discover themelves before any transaction could pass. The bank would phone me and ask:"Where are you now?". I could be in Indonesia and someone in Thailand would try to use my card.

Whichever way you look at it bookies accepting ************ are asking for trouble. Fine if they reject them in certain situations, but what is so annoying:

Why does intertops needs my driver license or passport to get money out? is this a legit website or a scam? I tested them out before putting in real money, but it seems they are giving a very hard time to get the money out. Why can't intertops.com just sent a check or wire money to my bank account like all other legitimate websites do? For security purposes they must ask for this info before taking a deposit not when you pay it back.
Just wire the money or sent me a check, how hard is it?
Also, did anyone read the credit card agreement? it ridicules. They basically say, anyone can deposit money into your account from your credit card and intertops will not be responsible.

Can someone help me get my winnings out?

First off, Welcome to the SBR forum Voland

In regards to the drivers license. Thats pretty much a standard procedure these days at a lot of sportsbooks, so thats nothing unusual IMO.
