Local Bookies vs. Offshore Real Sportsbook
Which one makes more money? Your local bookie running an unreliable credit shop, or the real post up shop offshore "A" rated sportsbook? I say post up shop makes mroe than the local wannabes.

I have 2 locals, one gives credit, and other one only takes new customers that can post up. They are both reliable older guys that have been doing this for years, but I cash out with the credit guy when I get over +2k to be safe. The post-up guy is the most respected local in town and has gotten comfortable enough with his customer base that he offers credit as a privilege, and if you screw it up, you lose your privilege. And he'll only take new customers that post up (usually offers a 10% bonus), and once they prove to be stand-up guys, he'll offer them a little credit so neither party has to run all over town every week to meet up.

ALL AS IN EVERY ONE of the A+ Post up Books have a Credit Operation.

I have a local guy that is Bookmaker, Grande and Pinny.

With Post Up Books the books have MUCH large overhead, markting, processor fees, websites, etc; however credit business the big issue is "uncollected" debt. Uncollected debt is not a big issue with Post up, other than CC chargebacks, etc.

At the end of the day, both are very profitable, and with the week, I am having I will be contributing to their profitabilty.

The overhead of marketing, processor fees, websites, etc., is a lot. But the thing is all the real offshore post up sportbooks have customers all over the entire USA and Canada. The local wannabes are only service the locals.

Locals will always be local kids while the real offshore books are always the big boys. I rather do business with the big boys over a local wannabe bookie anyday.
