    I spoke with a manager. They are still investigating the matter.

    I can not log into my account now because I asked them to lock it. I never did cut and paste the pending bets, because I was kind of frantic at the time. I asked them to email me the pending wagers and the wagers placed Tuesday so I can look at them.

    I think I am very lucky that:

    a. I asked for my casino access to be locked after reading the other BP hack thread

    b. the hacker only lost $183 on his Tuesday bets

    c. I noticed the pending bets (placed early Wed morning) at around 7:00 PM. Most of the bets involved today's and tomorrow's NCAA tourney games (). There were a few NBA games mixed in, but I want to see if any of the games in question had even started at that point.

    I would say it would be out of line. A player balance is wiped out with pending bets...
    Say if I call a friend in China, and give him my login and password. Have him help me place a bunch of wagers with some large parlays. If it hits, I win big. If it lose, I can say my account is hack, do an ip trace, and it comes from China. Tell the book some chinese hacker got in and those are erronous bets. Comes out to be win-win for the player.

    Am I saying is this the case here... No. I am saying it is possible.

    If your looking at it in terms of who gains and lost, the player gain, and the book loses.

    As for the book it is obvious. They can drain the player account by making him bet more than he otherwise would.

    I guess BP can use a high grade encryption, like a RC4 128bit one. Wonder how much something like that would cost. I mean it is only software.

    How could you think it was possible? I told them about the wagers while they were still pending. IF there were NBA games with 7:00 PM starting times mixed into the parlays, then it is possible that some of the games were just starting as I contacted them. Someone pulling the scam you mentioned would wait until AFTER losing at least one game.

    Also, the chance of someone getting paid in such a circumstance (waiting until after the games are decided) is so small that such a scheme would not only be scummy, but also -EV.

    Your A and B scenarios are actually the LEAST likely scenarios. This doesn't look like someone trying to turn a profit, but someone trying to screw over BetPhoenix and random BP clients.

    They still won't tell me anything. Either they don't know how to check which IP addresses have logged in, or they are stonewalling.

    They also have still not sent me the pending wagers I saw.

    They seem very, very busy over there. When this happened to me I stupidly thought that this would be very easily sorted out. Now I am really starting to worry.

    ive been complaing here for years about the crap security in most caribbean books relative to eurobooks;; eurobooks had a profile page 10 yrs ago where u could change the pw and the staff did NOT know this pw;; but nobody at sbr seems to care about the caribooks taking the un-pw over the phone without extra protection;; all i can say is keep the balance low and change the pw often;;

    The old phoenix software displaying the login was eerily reminiscent of a book called eWinner, who may have been my first foray into the offshore world with a free account (I think they had ewinner girl writing blogs or something). They went belly-up, but did pay me.

    They are telling me that all of the bets were placed from a computer logged in from my IP address (LIES) and so all of the bets must stand. In other words, they are straight stealing my money.

    I asked why the pending parlays I saw could not be cancelled, and I was told that accepted bets can not be cancelled!

    I will post the hacker's plays so that you can see they had ample time to cancel many of these bets.

    There were a bunch of plays placed Tuesday (the day before I logged in and noticed I had been hacked) that were also graded Tuesday. The hacker only lost about $185 with these bets. If anyone wants to see them, I will post them.
