    WagerHub Update

    For all of you who followed my thread before, WagerHub did finally decide to settle with me. I received my winnings minus the freeplay and freeplay winnings last Friday. I still don't completely understand why I had to forfeit the bonus though. I was given a 44% cash bonus and a 56% freeplay bonus on a $500 deposit. I was told that playing with multiple IP's is not allowed and is considered abuse of their bonus program . Keep in mind that I am not talking about the same IP on multiple accounts, I am talking about multiple IP's on one single account due to the BlackBerry issue which I explained in my original post. And since there was no way to tell which plays I had won with from the 44% cash bonus, they just decided to go ahead and take 44% of the $4,200 that was left + the $220 original bonus. The amount that I had to forfeit was nearly $1,900. Even though I don't agree with having to forfeit my bonus, as I didn't do anything that was against the rules, I am happy that WagerHub made the decision to settle and give me some of my winnings. I guess if you plan on using more that just one computer to make your plays on, don't play with WagerHub.

    I use 2 computers because I play from work and home and also use my blackberry. They said you had touts logging in to your account and playing for you across the country. They also said the times it was done was faster than you could have gotten there by airplane so it had to be multile people. They also said you said you were using wiseguy and touts before you knew it was against the rules. Is any of this true??? I am asking because I play there and they seem to be on the up and up with me. I requested a payout from Tom today so I hope it goes good.

    I gave Chuck a try because he promised if I requested a payout I would have my info within 48 hours orhe would personally put 100 in my account each day until I did have it. I cant go wrong there right? I requested a payout for 8 times my deposit today so I hope it goes good. Tom says there will be no problems and it will go out today.

    Of course I completed the rollover....I built my balance up to nearly 10k before they started throwing out accusations of non recreational play and multiple IP's. Bet The Hook....did you happen to read anything on my previous thread? Just because I make a play from a computer and then make a play from my BlackBerry (which uses a Canadian IP from their main server) 10 minutes later, doesn't mean I have multiple users from across the country using my account.

    This is just what I got from them when I asked why you were not paid. I asked because I wanted to know before I sent my cash. Did you have a service playing for you at all or is that not the truth they are telling me? I really dont care as long as my payout comes today anyway.

    Burton.. I can see that inspite of the fact that we settled with you and you even apologized for the harm done on the SBR Forum you still continue to pretty much put us down complaining about us removing the 44% bonus we gave you which you agreed to on an e-mail and chat which I have and will be happy to post here if needed. OSGA you know very well was the entity that helped us resolve the issue and they were the ones who suggested removing the 44% on an e-mail I am sure you also have a copy of and they even sent you one the same day we settled; Jim to be exact where he told you that from his point of view you shouldnt even be paid and that he was not going to support your cause any more. I would appreciate if now that we settled you stop the trashing of our site as we were fair and paid you what you were supposed to be getting. Attached to this reply there is a copy of the e-mail he sent us were he apologizes for the mess he made here on SBR which it seems he is causing once again:

    I am not trashing WagerHub right now...posters have been asking me all sorts of questions about why my bonus was removed. I am just being hones and telling them that I have no idea why. And for the record, Jim did not suggest taking 44% of my winnings. He suggested that we could settle by WagerHub taking my original bonus + bonus WINNING! this means that WagerHub could take my $220 cash bonus + $200 that I won from the bonus play. Also, Jim only recommended taking my bonus only after you made an accusation of multiple users on my account, which is completely untrue. After the facts were laid out to him, he didn't state that WagerHub should be taking any of my original bonus.
    Since you are posting chat transcripts, let me post the conversation that took place between OSGA and me after you made accusations that I had multiple users on my account.

    Alright Jim,

    Got a few more questions for you. So, WagerHub still has not made another payment to me since we spoke last because they said they want to look further into why so many IP addresses are on my account. They claim that there are over 40 IP addresses from Canada on my account. I did some research on this and found out that the main server for Verizon BlackBerry, which is the phone I used to make plays, is in Canada. Showing a Canadian IP while in the US is very common among BlackBerry users on the Verizon network. Furthermore, I found that Verizon Blackberry's use a dynamic IP server. This means that every time I connect to their network, it will show a different IP address. The only provider that offers a static IP, which is an IP that won't change, is Sprint. This is why they are showing 40+ IP addresses on my account. I did an IP lookup on each address that they gave me that showed Canada and every single one of them shows that they came from BlackBerry with a Host Name of Research In Motion (RIM), which is the company that owns BlackBerry. To me, this is not complicated at all...it's a very simple explanation!
    Anyways, an IT guy named Johnathan from WagerHub is supposed to call me today to discuss all of this. I am hoping that we can settle on my account and move forward as I am really tired of dealing with these guys! My account was originally closed due to me being a non-recreational player and then they threw this IP address issue out there after they started to pay me! Another issue that I have is there is nothing in there rules that says anything about just being allowed one IP per person...in fact, there is nothing in there at all about IP addresses. Gia told me last night they they will probably end up paying me my winnings minus the bonus and the bonus winnings. I had no problem with this, but I have a huge problem with the way she calculated it. I made a deposit for $500 and I was given a 44% cash bonus and a 56& free play bonus. This means I was given $220 cash bonus and $280 free play bonus. I won nothing with my free play bonus. I made two wagers risking $110 on each of them and won nothing. With my last $500 I made a play on the Utah Jazz PK and won with that. I assumed that bonus + bonus winnings equals the original bonus + winnings from the play that I made with the bonus. That would mean that if you count the $220 bonus as part of my $500 wager then it would be $220 (original bonus) + $200 (winnings from the bonus) = $420. Then if they wanted to they could add the $280 free play bonus on top of that even though a free play is not the same as cash. That would mean the most that should come out of my account is $700 the way I figured it. The way Gia is calculating it is 44% out of my total balance of the account + original bonus + free play bonus. I have a total of $4,156 in my account right now. That would mean that she is figuring on taking $1828.64 + $220 + $280 = $2,328.64 out of my account. Is this really the way that this should be calculated? I don't think this is fair at all and I still don't think it should be allowed since I can prove that I have been the only one using my account. What do you think on this Jim? Tell me if she is calculating this right.

    Also, it seems to me like Gia is being overly aggressive in extracting money from your account. I think that your figures are more accurate and make more sense. Let me know what happened with thhe IT guy and we can go from there for that mess and your bonus situation.

    I know that I told you I was going to call Gia, but I figured getting something down in writing might be a better way to go. After all, the last time I spoke with her, I thought you were getting paid, less the bonus. Now here we are, nearly two weeks later, and you still have not gotten a dime. I did my own investigation of your ever changing IP. I called Verizon as if I were a developer of applications for the Blackberry and asked about static vs. DHCP (dynamic IP). I was given a v very straightforward answer that verifies what you have been telling me (or Matt!) or Gia. However, please do not rub that in her face….believe me it will get you nowhere.

    So, I sent an email to Gia in an effort to bring your situation to a conclusion. Hopefully, it will have some impact.

    We haven’t given up yet. I will contact you ASAP if I think that there is some movement on your situation.



    Now, I am glad that WagerHub called me and settled...I really was expecting not to get paid with everything that went on with them.

    I figured you did. I couldn't remember what you originally deposited or what their RO requirements were. So why would you give up the remaining $1900 that you're legitimately owed? Make 'em pay!

    Mr. Burton I do not wish to pursue this as I DO HAVE THINGS TO DO with my time which are very important. I am a busy person and do not wish to argue with you anyone. WE DID OUR PART.. we paid you and settled and you had agreed to that settlement. Sad to say there is no strength nor value to any word you say as when we spoke on the phone you were kind and even apologized for the mess that was made and now.... after we settle with you, you all of the sutten decide it is time to continue trashing our site and so....     A few questions should sort this out:

    1. DBurton: how do you respond to Tom's accusations that you paid a handicapper? You do in fact mention it in the chat transcript, but it doesn't fit with the rest of the conversation and you may have mistyped and meant something else.

    2. Tom: Even if someone does pay a handicapper, why does this have any bearing or relevance whatsover?? If my 7-year old cousin sets up a website and sells his picks based on which mascots he likes best, isn't he then a paid handicapper as well?? If I bought his picks and won, does this make me a wise guy or non-recreational player? If you see someone betting RAS or Dr. Bob before the steam, that's one thing...I understand you then limiting their bet amount. But if DBurton was playing market numbers using some random jackass's picks, trust me, he is very much still a recreational player.

    3. Multiple IP thing: Someone please clarify this for me. This is the year 2010. Most of us have a home IP address, a work IP address, and a blackberry or smartphone. If I'm running over to Home Depot to buy a part for my lawnmower on Saturday morning and get stuck in traffic, then having my blackberry is essential so I can get a bet in. Are you saying this is not allowed???

    I play there and have none of these problems. Chuck and Tom are good guys and make sure I have everything I need and sometimes we just talk about everything but business. We are going to Costa Rica for our honeymoon and will be meeting everybody face to face. I cant tell you how hard they have all worked on my account and profile to make sure all the wagering options I need are there. They have even added events that I didnt see available within 10 minutes of me asking. Sam is also a good one there. She can make things happen if you ever cant get Chuck,Tom,or JT. Dont pay attention to all the crap you read here.for WagerHub for all their efforts.

    I have never used a handicapper in my life...I would never pay those guys a dime of my money! After they closed my account down with no notice whatsoever for "non-recreational" play, I got on chat with Tom and sarcastically told him that I had a handicapper as they said that I was making "stream" plays. What a joke!

    Gia says that I agreed to the settlement?? There was not an actual agreement made. Gia told me that they were taking 44% of total balance because there was no way to determine my winnings from the bonus that they gave me. There was no room for discussion whatsoever, I was just shocked that she called me to pay me a percentage of my winnings. As you can see in the email dialogs with Jim that are posted above, I had discussed the amount that they were taking many times with her and OSGA.
