    Matchbook

    I can't get on to Matchbook, the rest of my sites are working on the web but when I go to matchbook it says page cannot be displayed on both of my computers. Anyone else having this problem?

    Wanted to hedge off my Denver bet and guarantee some nice money on both teams but of course matchbook is down so Denver will blow this 17 point lead and I will lose my money on Denver. Just watch

    as soon as I pressed "ok" the site died for me and I tried to cancel the bet

    Betting sites are notorious for dealing in lots of cash, access to quick wire transfers, and using the minimum standards in hardware and bandwidth; which make them perfect for beginner hacker extortionist. The hackers start a DOS (Denial-of-service) attack and then ask for say $25,000 to stop the attack. So, the site either pays or has to do an upgrade and since upgrading takes time, they usually just pay and then upgrade.

    You can google DOS attack and find out a lot more about it if you are wanting more information.
