OK now the dirt on americans Illegally gambling

I laugh when i read some dope got stiffed from illegal unlicensed gambling websites

Today, the AGA released new research showingAmericans gamble an estimated $511 billion each year with illegal and unregulated sportsbooks, iGaming websites and “skill game” machines.

While we’ve all known that illegal gambling is pervasive across the country, these numbers provide important context on the reach of these predatory operators—posing a threat to consumers, robbing state governments of $13.3 billion in critical tax funds, and costing legal operators $44.2 billion in revenue.

Illegal gambling is arguably the greatest threat to our industry. The unfortunate reality is about a third of the U.S. gaming market is being captured by illegal or unregulated gambling. We will use this research to strengthen our case to federal and state policymakers and law enforcement agencies for the need to act now.

I know this is not a fight we will win overnight. It will require a united industry and collaboration across stakeholders to stop illegal andunregulated operators. But you have my commitment that the AGA is in this fight for the long haul and, together, we can put these bad actors out of business. You can see key findings below along with the full report and industry resources on AmericanGaming.org.

    Illegal Sports Betting

AGA’s report estimates that Americans wager $63.8 billion with illegal bookies and offshore sites at a cost of $3.8 billion in gaming revenue and $700 million in state taxes.

In Context: With Americans projected to place $100 billion in legal sports bets this year, these findings imply that illegal sportsbook operators are capturing nearly 40 percent of the U.S. sports betting market.

    Illegal iGaming

Americans wager an estimated $337.9 billion with illegal iGaming websites, with a loss of $3.9 billion in state tax revenue. The illegal iGaming market—with $13.5 billion in estimated revenue—is nearly three times the size of the legal U.S. iGaming market, estimated to be $5 billion in 2022.

In Context: With iGaming only legal in six states, nearly half of Americans (48%) that have played online slots or table games in the past year have played with illegal online casinos.

The Bottom Line: Illegal, offshore sites are taking advantage of the growth of legal gaming to confuse Americans into using predatory, unregulated websites.

    Unregulated "Skill Machines"

Unregulated gaming machines or “skill machines” continue to proliferate, with an estimated 580,651 unregulated machines in the U.S. driving $26.9 billion in revenue loss and $8.7 billion in state tax loss.

In Context: With 870,000 regulated machines in casinos and slot routes, that means 40% of all gaming machines in the U.S. are unlicensed.
The Bottom Line:Tucked inside gas stations, restaurants and bars, these pervasive unregulated gaming machines look and act like slot machines but lack any of the regulatory oversight of the legal industry.

the skill machines are so called because you have to select the winning combo i play on them only legal ones mostly at gas stations but not lil tiny mom n pop stores no way of getting paid that day on huge win

the best thing about the state licensed ones no matter how much you win it's tax free you get all $500 win tickets

i did see one time operator had to shut down machines because of group of guys winning so much that he wouldnt be able to pay that night.

lot of stores stop shut down slot machines after 11 pm signs are posted to let you know.

IT's just easy for me to gamble like only 1 mile away each store or gas station instead of driving 21 miles north

ok that it so fawwwwk you if you gamble at illegal bookie i gaming websites

Neither governments nor "legal operators" are entitled to that money.

Why should the average consumer give a f about revenues for legal sportsbooks? Why should we care if state governments get more tax dollars? Do those state and national officials share their stock picks with us, when they buy something, then all of the sudden, 1 week later, a huge merger is announced and those politicians benefit?

Fukk regulations. Fukk the government. And fukk "legal sportsbooks." No one here cares.

It's crazy to me how poor customer service is w some legal sportsbooks, you only really notice when you have an issue. The fact some of them have no customer service number or make it hard or very limit when you can call them. I can call costa rica books when I have an issue at 9pm but not fanduel. I seen cases that they only really fixed their mistake when the gaming commission gets involved.

This^^. They're gonna drive the off shores out of the states then your only option will be fanduel or DK who will limit you to $8 abet if you demonstrate that you know what you're doing.

Betjam dsi bodog all 3 were A books and while technically I dont know all the details if they went bankrupt or whatnot I know for a fact they stiffed usa bettors. I know ppl that have been stiffed never paid by all 3. I don't know one guy that got stiffed by a usa book on payout ever. Only offshore book I've never heard anything bad about on payouts is bookmaker. Never heard anybody getting stiffed there but they have high juice. So is offshore dead, no. Is it shady as far as you might get stiffed, yes.

hmmmmmm i answered this yesterday but here goes again

2 years ago had nice wins $150 $175 $125 and a huge $350 win but not that much this year $50 $75 $80 2 months ago

the great thing about these slots is you can preview the next spin at each level from mini .40 up to max $4 even without putting money in

and when you win top prize of $2000 or $2700 it's tax free you get all tickets in $500 increments

but truth is i prefer casino slots where i have won $1000's in one night several times differnt machines

then i take that money and win more on craps table

BetCascade was top 10 on SBR when it proceeded to stiff customers to the tune of over $2 million. Will that happen again? I don't know and neither do you.

What is that really a big book? You’re going back a long time

Billion dollar company’s go down every year in America at least 10 way less than offshore

For nonregulated markets, offshore wagering, probably the strongest entity in the world
