Has anyone ever met Brent Musberger in Las Vegas?

I see he departed as Raider broadcaster. Guy is 83 years old, so he doesn't need to explain it to anyone. Thought he sounded really good w/ Lincoln Kennedy:

    https://www.si.com/nfl/2022/06/03/br...las-vegas-vsin

    1) Crossed paths w/ Brent once b4 he went to Las Vegas. Had a few words w/ him.

    2) Saw him in Vegas maybe three years ago. I actually saw him picking out his sheets at the South Point. Talked to him about the Raid/Clev game that was coming up that weekend.

Would be a great guy to shoot the bull with at the bar. Imagine some of the stories he could tell!

Yes, Jack! NFL Today was a great show. I think the ratings were pretty strong.

    Yes, polo! Awesome voice.

Think about all the big events he called in his day. I talked to him a little about the 1987 NCAA final Indiana vs Syracuse.

I dont remember it being that long!!

I did meet Chris Fowler, Coach Lee Corso and Craig James, I think in 1991 maybe 92 Coach and James spent about 30 minutes just talking to my cousin and myself like fans you met at the game, Fowler seemed like a dik

Jack, I'll give you my best Brent M memory:

*1988 NFL Season. Playoffs wrap around the New Year. Super Bowl in Jan 1989:

SF/CIN. Many connections between Niners and Bengals, since Walsh coached at Cincinnati. Walsh (arguably) should have been the CIN head coach in late 70s (instead of San Fran).

Bengals lead, but Niners rally. Win a great game, 20-16.

Brent must have great intel, b/c he asked Walsh a question that needed no reply:

"In some ways this may have been a sad day. Was this the last game for the great coach Bill Walsh?"

Brent didn't have to say another word. Walsh hugged his son, and that was it.

The first year he was removed from Herbstreit and Saturday Night Football... I was literally shocked. He still had 2 good years left in him. They were the best together.

Brent actually caught grief for that comment. Amazing. What he said was complimentary and very tame.

When ask about it, her dad said, he didn't think there was anything wrong or inappropriate with Brent's comments, and that pretty much put an end to it

Its funny when a broadcasting crew goes through their own pregame of what their going to show during the telecast. So when the graphic appears on the screen... and you have the live shot of the 2 women... what else is Musburger supposed to say? Honestly... to me... it was funny, flattering, and complimentary. If he got heat for it.... it's total BS.

Since wagering is legal now in most states... and you had a younger Musburger.... who wouldn't want him for your #1 commentator/play-by-play guy? It's such a shame what ABC/ESPN did to him... taking him off Saturday night football. Musburger was pure entertainment.
