Do offshore books sell your personal data and info

Seems like whenever I get a good win I get bombarded with all kinds of spam email

But I thought they were these big bad entities with infinite amounts of cash and won’t ever f*** with your account? Betraying their players confidentiality for what? A few grand? Pathetic. There is not one Costa Rican native that doesn’t wish there were full blooded Mexican. Scum. All of them.

Who mentioned anything about the legality of it? My point was they either need the money and sell your info or they don’t give two f*** about you and sell your info. Either way, snake oil type s***

I doubt that any sportsbook sells data, but plenty of techs probably steal contact info on the way out the door and sell them to low rated books.

Pretty sure every sports book wants to inform their competition of who their best clients are. So I would guess they sell all the data, name, contact number, address, what markets you wager, your average bet size and weekly handle etc. I know if I was a for profit business I would jump at the opportunity to sell all my clients data to my competition for a few bucks.

I check my credit report monthly. Signed up for a new book last year (won't name it). Next time I checked my credit report and security update, my name, address, phone number, e-mail were all found on lists being sold on whatever the "dark web" is. The not so funny thing is, the email and phone number that were listed in they security report were unique to the book I signed up with.

Not sure the book sold it or some tech is stealing the info and selling it.

    Yeah. Its happening.

this happened to me a few years ago, and the worst part is that they put tracking software on your computer, and i had a picture with my drivers' license on there... so not only was my identity stolen, but people were using my license, along with ss #, to get employment all over the freaking country

try doing a tax return when your ss # has hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of 1099 income and w-2 income from instacart, doordash, etc etc

    real fun

Considering the cost per player of acquisition the price of a real current customer list from a big book would be astronomical.

If I was the owner I would not be selling. Rouge employees another thing obv.

Obv I would not know for sure.

But I think there would be regular complaints from people who used a unique email to sign up here if SBR did do that. Or even if they used the database for marketing emails for ourselves.
