Trouble with Bovada bitcoin deposit and money is lost now

I'm out of ideas and looking for some solutions on SBR..

Yesterday I log on to Bovada and copy and paste the bitcoin address to deposit funds in my Bovada account that Bovada provided me. I send the money out with the bitcoin address from my Coinbase account. I double check to make sure the address is correct and it is and push send. Everything lines up and goes smoothly. Nothing happens at Bovada and I wait a full day for my Bovada account to be funded. NOTHING STILL.

I contacted Bovada this morning and let them know what happened and provide them again with the bitcoin address they provided me, they tell me they have no out going records on my account with that bitcoin address and they can do nothing about it. I'm like this is BS! Copy and Paste bitcoin addresses don't lie or make mistakes. I then contact Coinbase to retrieve the funds that are in limbo now and they can do nothing because of their strict policy..

So I'm basically now out hundreds of dollars that are floating around in bitcoin cyber space with this bitcoin address that neither source can claim or recover including me. I can't even tell if someone at Bovada claimed it already and just giving me the run around? Who knows? I never had this problem before with any book!

Am I screwed and is this money gone and lost forever in cyberspace or can I recover it? It's not the end of the world for me if I don't get this money back but it's the principle of it and I will be gun shy to deposit in Bovada again in the future if this money is never recovered. It's just a damn shame!

You checked the Blockchain to verify it has been confirmed?

I send straight from Coinbase. I don't use block chain. I don't deposit often and sending money to the books straight from Coinbase has always worked for me.

Maybe Blockchain would have had retrieval options unlike Coinbase though, IDK? I just know I lost money and it's gone and I can't get it back. I blame Bovada for now.

If the transaction was authenticated then it's an issue on Bovada's end.

The blockchain is the network that all transactions are on. I am not referring to the blockchain wallet. There have been people complaining that they have sent money or expecting to receive money without a confirmation for 2 days due to insufficient fees. So I was asking if you tracked your hash code to see if there have been any confirmations. If no confirmations, that is why they wouldn't have record of the deposit.

CB has a way to see your transaction on blockchain. Just click on the transaction and it will ask you if you want to see-it on blockchain, I did a withdrawal yesterday and tracked the btc through the 6 confirmations needed to know when I could sell the btc on CB and then transfer to my bank, gl

I sent a message to Bovada and they sent this back to me today below. I have no idea the difference between BTC SV and regular BTC. I send bitcoin money the same way every time from Coinbase.

    Copy and Paste -

    webforms@bovada.lv

    Hi John,

Thanks for contacting Bovada Customer Service.

I hope this email finds you well and enjoying your day.

After verifying your account I was able to see that the address generated by the system at the time of making the deposit was an address for BTC SV and if I'm not mistake you sent in regular BTC, correct?

If that were the case then unfortunately we would not be able to claim that balance since it was sent to a different coin wallet address.

We're available to help 24/7 if you need anything else.

    Thanks,

    Bovada Customer Service

I did nothing different when generating the deposit bitcoin address on Bovada this time that I haven't done before. I hit bitcoin deposit on my Bovada account and they generated the bitcoin address. I immediately went to my coinbase account and hit send. Everything was double checked and verified on my end and sent.

Never had a problem like this before on any book. I'm screwed based on the email response Bovada sent me.

Oh well. I'm not sure I will try transferring bitcoin funds on Bovada again based on this experience. That's a damn shame! .

Money just pissed away in cyberspace. I didn't even have the chance of losing it gambling ..

    Ugh, that's bad news Jibbby.

It should be technically possible to retrieve those bitcoin from the BTCSV wallet, but it's a bit of mucking around for whoever handles the processing to do.

I'll double check what they are saying is correct and PM you. We'll have to find a nice manager who will get pushy about it for you.

    Check your PMs Jibbby.

You did not do anything wrong.

Your funds did not go to a BTC SV wallet like CS told you.

You sent to the correct wallet and it has been confirmed and they should credit it.
