All these sports books can’t compete with the top three or four

I’m surprise the majority of them are not closing down yet or being bought out

Pointspreads bottom quarter in volume in every state

There are at least 16 sportsbooks in Iowa. I use Bet Fred in Larchwood, Hard Rock in Sioux City, Elite from Riverside. None of those guys have good juice.

I'm not sure DK is ever going to make money with actual sportsbetting

They do make money actual sportsbetting, but it's pretty weak and not nearly enough to overcome spend. Fanduel is pretty much eating it's lunch. I saw today that Fanduel pulled ahead of them in Illinois. Not surprising in the least. Lagging in both handle and revenue. They are just not as smart as Fanduel, not even close.

I don't live in Iowa. Just picked these up for when I visit these casinos overnight. Larchwood has a really nice batch of leather recliners and a great screen to watch the big games with. Then, go play black jack or Pai Gow.

Hard Rock in Sioux City has some nice music on the weekends and then bigger concerts outside in the summer time.

I do not play them hard but, there is the fun of cashing the ticket right there. But, I use their apps for convenience if I am in the state.

I think operators finally realize not much money in sportsbetting because of tremendous costs they have to overcome

That's precisely why states like Alabama and Utah are flourishing.

Because they don't have sportsbetting at all?

Sportsbetting is great for the states. States like CA and FL that don't have it are really missing out. I'm sure most will enable it soon.
