    Caesars phone call

So i get a call from Nicki a guy who left a message on our house phone from Caesars. I use my cell phone for business and the house phone my wife uses and its under her name. So how did this guy get her number to call me for sports betting. I NEVER use the house phone for gambling never never never never. I sent him an e-mail he sent me an email too so i asked him how he got our house number. But i have never in all the years of betting been called on our house phone by a book.

I went to make sure on Caesars and the house phone is not on there only my cell phone . So how did they get it . Has anyone else had this happen recently.

Are you worried that the book knows your house number?

It's probably from a marketing list they bought where a company has combined all the info they can locate about you.

Maybe a reverse search on your address picked up the home number.

Now that sports betting has been legitimized in the USA, they can tap into resources that other legit companies do. Such as purchasing consumer information from other companies which specialize in compiling such data from many different sources and merging it together.

I don't know that that is what's happening here, but it's definitely a possibility.

    What state?

I got a call the other day too. My state just switched from old Caesars to regular Caesars, so it's almost like a new book. I guess it was a VIP type guy just telling me if I need anything, want to stay in Vegas, etc. just call him. Was really nice actually. We'll see if that lasts after I beat their brains in.

Katie called and emailed me the other day. I do get occasional calls from online hosts. It’s not unusual. I’m not sure if she called about sports or casino or from old Caesars (limited to $100 bets) or WH (account is good). She sent me a small casino promo. Online hosts are usually worthless I think but it gives you an opportunity to complain and get something if you’re down. No harm in talking with them.

If they got your phone number from a 3rd party provider, it could be "on file" without your help. Also, are you sure you never used this phone number when signing up for membership rewards while in Vegas or something?

I called Caesars and they confirmed the guy . The only way i think this may have happened was maybe years back like 10-15 when maybe we went into a Casino and got a card maybe i put our house # there otherwise it has to be like you said a 3rd party provider. It is just funny all these years like 20+ here i have never gotten a call once on this phone by any book.
