California will never pass it. The Indian Casinos have too much power to allow that to happen.

Yentals don't need anything to legalised, they already betting on everything including sports whether casinos or sportsbook exist or don't exist - only thing legalised does is take revenue away from vegas/Indian casinos/Chinatown.

It not bad culture to gamble, it same ad any other business - restaurant/stocks/etc all business is risk vs rewards which is same as gambling on if investment in any business venture will succeed or not.

Even when you go work as janitor or McDonald, you gambling and risking that your time at McDonald will be better reward than spending your time at school/casino/better job/library/whore house/etc.

California prop questions become law if they get a plurality Yes vote. There will be several related questions on the next ballot. One of the confirmed questions will be for legalizing sports betting at Native American casinos. Obviously, the DKs and FDs of the world will be sponsoring a different question.

How can Comifornia not vote for this. They don't want to be known for not being as progressive as say Louisiana. I think it passes as most residents and I guess non-residents now-a-days will be amazed that it isn't already a thing there.

I'm Asian (Korean) but I can write a coherent sentence...

I doubt sports betting will ever be legal in CA during my lifetime or yours due to tribes and politics, but hopefully I'm wrong.

Anyone in So Cal will have to keep driving drive four f*cken hours to the Nevada border if they want to bet sports legally.

It'll be really difficult to get a read on this until the ballot props questions are finalized. Part of the problem is that California makes it relatively easy to get questions added to the ballot. So for controversial topics, there are often several conflicting questions added by different interest groups. And they are sometimes worded confusingly so as to attract they outcome they desire. Or maybe they add a question for the simple purpose of making it less likely that the other question passes. With there being several big money interests behind this, there are expected to be at least a couple questions on there and maybe more.

No problem! People go broke and default on mortgages after a bad NFL season? People go homeless? Let's build some ghettos for people to live in - massive construction projects are GREAT for boosting economy!

The Pueblo Amigo location is one of the best Caliente books and safest by far. It's about a fifteen minute walk from the border crossing. Fairly safe to walk in day light, not so much at night. Cabs are readily available both day and night at a cost around five bucks. There's a downtown book on Revolution where dog racing is conducted. There are also a few small shops scattered around.
Limits vary according to the day of week. My last visit a few years ago max was $500 on weekdays and $3000 on weekends for the major sports. One drawback is the government tax on winning wagers. Back in the day it was 1%, now I think it's 4% or 5%. They except $USD.
