    Withdrawal

Anyone else having issue with Bitcoin withdrawal? Says invalid address when trying to use blockchain. Do I have to remove the bc off the start of address? Never had issue in past.

Just about everything in the financial world seems subject to change. Top cats usually pulling the strings somewhere along the line.

Do NOT remove characters from an address. If your address starts with bc you are using a bech32 address. It's supposed to be faster and cheaper but not all exchanges support it. You'll have to use the older network where BTC addresses start with 1 or 3.

Yes, you have to use legacy BTC address. If you're using Blockchain wallet, the most recent update made it so that the app provides Segwit addresses by default instead of legacy. So the withdrawal process you've been following before may no longer work.

In fact, I haven't even figured out how to get legacy addresses from the new Blockchain app. I have to log into my wallet on the desktop site to get them now.

Go into settings and you can change the address type it generates.

I don't see that anywhere in Settings. Can you be a little more specific?

I have a poster problem using the upgraded Blockchain wallet app where they withrew to a legacy address but the transfer does not appear as available funds in their balance.

Anyone have any clues about that?

I had 2 payouts go missing from desktop version of blockchain after these retarded programmers changed default addresses to bech32. I used desktop version and selected 2 legacy addresses to use and the payouts never hit my wallet and the used addresses vanished. Switched to electrum and no issues since. Blockchain is hot garbage and there is some shady shit going on there

That doesn’t sound right but if he really sent it to his legacy address and owns the private keys they’re out there somewhere and should be able to get them. I actually was able to recover Litecoin I sent to my Bitcoin address on accident a couple weeks ago.
