    [Resolved] Mybookie Bitcoin Fraud

    Hi everyone - I'm afraid I know the answer to this question. I submitted a payout request to Mybookie, it was rejected multiple times. After the 3rd rejection, I received an email from a mybookie address saying that it would need to be processed manually. Unfortunately I wasn't smart enough to know something was up, so I responded with my btc address and then provided them my SMS code that was sent. Turns out it wasn't a legit mybookie email address.
    What I didn't know is that someone had accessed my account and requested a deposit to a different address. So, the payment was approved and sent to the other address.
    I've talked to mybookie and they aren't willing to help out, chalking everything up to someone has hacked my account. There is no evidence from my end that someone hacked my account through my computer, which concerns me that my account was compromised on their end of things. Also, someone had created a mybookie email address, so i'm guessing this issue isn't limited to just my account.
    Has anyone had experience with this? Any chance I have any other recourse in this matter? I'm guessing no, but wanted to reach out to the community.
    I knew mybookie wasn't the most reputable book, so I might just have to chalk this up to a lesson learned.

    The first thing I would do is change my email password and then use the service at https://www.malwareremoval.com/ to make sure my machine is clean of trojans.

    It's free and better than any paid service you can find.

    Sounds fishy as hell on mybookies part but they are a shit book anyway so it wouldnt surprise me at all of they scammed you. Why did they reject the first three withdrawals and was the scam withdrawal the same exact amount as the other 3 rejected withdrawal requests? I'd almost be willing to bet if you traced the bitcoin withdrawal it ended up back in mybookies BTC wallet.

    MYBOOKIE=SCAM
    MYBOOKIE=SCAM
    MYBOOKIE=SCAM

    Cant say it enough.

    MyBookie always been fine to me. They're not great, but I definitely wouldn't call them a scam book

    The three different withdrawals were for different amounts. Unfortunately I was getting frustrated from the cancelations and the last one was for my entire balance.
    They said they had to cancel my first two because of they detected I was using a VPN because I was using one for work.

    Hi everyone - I wanted to follow up on this matter. I was pleasantly surprised to receive another call today from Mybookie. They acknowledged that this wasn't all on me and they refunded my account the full amount. I had a nice conversation with their customer service rep. I admit that I was mostly at fault here because I allowed myself to get scammed. However, Mybookie still helped me out. So major kudos to mybookie.

    Good to hear, did they explain what happened? I find it hard to believe they so willingly decided to refund your withdrawal, unless it was smaller amount and you made sure to come back to SBR and update this thread. Now withdraw your balance and play at a real sportsbook, do not feel like they did you a favor because I SERIOUSLY doubt they did.

    How did you get the money back!?

    I was recently hacked and it is exactly the same situation as you bigcurt. It will be awesome if you can lead me to have mybookie to give me the money that I lost....

    Did you two also give out your SMS code to the scammer in the same way?

    All three of you seriously need to check your machines https://www.malwareremoval.com/

    Doing it and telling Mybookie you have done so shows you are taking some sort of personal responsibility plus actively trying to prevent it re-occurring. It might help in getting them to do the same for you as Bigcurt.

    You mean they paid out to the other BT-C address and they have also put all the money back into your account too?

    Have you got the money paid out to you yet?

    Mybookie Bitcoin fraud

    Thanks for info and yes.... I did not provide password or account name. Its as they had access to my account. I even contacted them in the morning as my withdrawal was cxld and I went on live chat as I kept getting an error when trying to perform a withdrawal. Then they asked if I received an email and I checked email and followed instructions...🤦*♂️ I literally followed up every day to check status.....

    I feel that they should have.... and should make all users aware of this scam. Crazy they knew it was happening and did not inform us. I have a few friends 10+ that I warned them of this scam and told them to change passwords asap. Hoping to hear good news back from Mybookie.ag

    It sounds like you are handling it well. Stay cool as you have been and keep asking for a manger to review it. If they told you to look for an email and the ONLY email you got was that fake one, highlight that strongly. Maybe send them a link to this thread and point out that they have shown goodwill and made other affected clients whole again and you are hoping for similar treatment.

    If you cannot get anywhere that way, shoot in an SBR Sportsbook Complaint form and SBR can at least make sure a senior manager sees the matter to review it.

    Again, very nice to hear

    If they plan to reverse it for anyone affected, they may not wish to publicize it for fear of people making fakes claims.

    It's not like anyone genuinely affected is not going to notice and tell them directly.

    This is a pretty nasty hack. I tend to doubt they have anything running on your PC, or else they could easily acquire your email credentials as well as those of your MyB account. More likely has to do with using public wifi and/or MyB having had a security breach.

    I think being calm and cool with them will help get what you want. ;-)

    And just pointing out that you want them to do for you what they have already done for other affected users in this thread as your primary message.
