    Bull crap FanDuel contest

They have a contest where you earn points for winning any market in NCAAM tourney. The minimum you have to bet in each market is only $10 so that’s not much so I bet every market. Well I accidentally logged into New Jersey site this morning and noticed they have ten times as many markets as Tennessee because they have player props and other special bets we don’t have. So it’s impossible for me to win even if I go perfect but they offered it as a contest to me and got me to wager real money with zero chance to compete. I wouldn’t have known if I didn’t go to wrong URL this morning. Shady.

Is it their March Million promotion?

If so, you might have misunderstood the terms by sounds. You can only earn 1 entry per day for that one.

I believe he is talking about the March to the Top Promotion and yeah very unfair if so, I didn’t know any states allowed college props.

If it is that contest, it sounds like he may have a legit beef.

@OP, the TN regulator takes complaints here https://tnlottery.com/sports-gaming/dispute-resolution/

And they should understand this type of alleged deceptive promotion offer problem better than the average regulator, being the lottery office.

Yup that's the one. I don't want to ruffle any feathers though. I've been killing FanDuel, and like them the most out of all the onshore books so far. I wouldn't want to get booted from them. I messaged them to point this out and we will see what they say. From looking at the leaderboard after day 1 - yes it's pretty obvious other states have many more markets than we do, and it would have been impossible for me to have that many points with the amount of markets I had offered to me. I'm guessing other states also had no chance as well, and just the states that allow player props have a chance.

What use is there even mentioning it if you wont say anything about it to them?

FD may not have even realized it, and may react to fix it, or compensate you at very least.

A complaint doesn't have to be angry. Just ask them what they think about it. Wont ruffle anything.

Did you stop reading my post after 2 sentences? I did message them... 'I messaged them to point this out and we will see what they say.'

I posted here to see if I was missing anything and get other thoughts - isn't that the point of a discussion forum? I also have a 9K withdraw pending, so I'd like to have that in my bank account before I 'ruffle feathers' too much. Below is the back and forth I've already have. I will reply to the last e-mail after I get my 9k and will post an update.

    Hello PharaohUB,

Thank you for contacting FanDuel Customer Support.

The $50,000 March to the Top promotion is available in all of our Sportsbook states except for Colorado and West Virginia. Every customer has the same ability to earn points for every sucessfull $10 wager. The longer the odds, the more points you earn, so if you're betting long odds (+1906 or longer earns 25 points per win), you can climb to the top of the board.

Please let me know if you have any other questions and I'll be happy to help.
    Best,
    Adam

    Adam.

I'm not sure you understand. Some states have a lot more markets than other states. For example - some states allow player props and some states do not. If you do not live in a state with player props, then it is basically impossible for you to compete against people in a state that does. You are incentivizing people to make bets, for a competition they do not have a chance to win and other states have an unfair advantage. I would suggest you look into this again. This is quite possible against the law in some states.

    Hello PharaohUB.

Sorry for my confusion on what you were asking about. I asked my supervisor about this and he spoke with our Marketing team.

The Marketing team said that player props do count, but the fact that we are not able to offer player props in Tennessee is due to Tennessee state laws/restrictions. Although it may be a hindrance to you winning, it certainly does not count you out completely.

This is a free promotion and opting in is completely optional, so uniformity across all states is not a necessity.

Thanks for contacting us at FanDuel Customer Support. If there is anything more I can help with please let me know.
    Best,
    Adam

Sorry, I did miss that line.

Well handled. I'd personally explain to Adam that you have been betting every available market in an attempt to actually win the contest, and feel deceived now. I think if he knew that your complaint might seem more serious to him.

When you get paid, or are ready, I think it's worth asking TN Lotteries what they think still too.

It would be hard to not agree with you about the imbalance. And it might help the TN marketing Mgr think about this angle next time.

I'm guessing they are part of some huge company that is making money hand over fist and could care less about the individual player. At least DK answers email message with something that makes sense..All I ever got from FanD, was that their software was sensitive and thanks for my understanding!!
