*RESOLVED* Youwager Refusing to Payout +$10,000

Edit by SBR Staff: The player has been paid.

Longtime reader, first-time poster. Here's what's happened so far..

A few weeks ago, I won over $10,000 on Youwager, the following day I tried to login to my account and it said my account has been suspended, contact customer service. So I reached out via chat and they told me to call and speak to a Manager named George. So I spoke with George who said they're looking into my account, because according to him I had placed some "semi-correlated" parlays, but he assured me it was just precautionary and to call back in a few hours. So I call back and George tells me now they've deemed all my wagers invalid and they're closing my account. I was shocked to say the least, but when I asked if that was their final decision, he said they'd discuss it with the owners later that afternoon and call me back. Well I never got a call back and haven't received any correspondence from them since.

I filed a complaint with SBR the following day (Dec 9th) but unfortunately haven't gotten any update on my complaint, so here I am trying another route to get my money.

I'd rather not go into too much detail on my "semi-correlated" parlays because every other major offshore book (Bovada, BetOnline, even MyBookie) still allows these exact same type of parlays and have all paid out if I've had a winning day.

I feel like this is a totally unfair decision by Youwager, and that I'm being scammed. I'm willing to answer any questions about my case, just hopeful I can get some help from SBR.

    Thanks!

Same here. I have never used that book. But I have never had any payout issues with any of mine. I think it more or less happens to people who try to manipulate by using math and different betting schemes. Which is essentially not against the rules, but same principle as counting cards. The book can do with you whatever they want once they feel like you're being sneaky.

Sure, the book CAN do whatever they want since this offshore betting industry is largely unregulated. But in the example you gave (counting cards) a casino cannot steal from the player. A casino can boot the player, but the player must be paid his winnings. A sportsbook can boot or limit a customer for any reason it chooses, but it must pay the player as long as there was no fraud. A book isn't justified in stealing from a player just because the player bet into soft lines, bet correlated plays, etc. Book the bet, pay the bet.

    Hopefully this gets resolved.

Parlays with wagers that are related.. ex: Lebron James scores 30+pts, 10+reb, and LAL to win... that’s similar to the type of parlays I made, and I agree the different legs are related, but the parlay odds also reflected that as my payout was less than a normal 5-6 leg parlay would be.

I always hate that they screw people just because they are using their brain with card counting. It also can really never be proven . The only thing YW and BP gets annoying with are the endless phone calls for crappy bonuses. I love getting a good start and going all in and a good bonus helps. Lately though the bonuses have been better and worth depositing for.

I’ve had an account with them for many years, multiple deposits & withdrawals without issue up until this point.

they are doing more harm than good by doing this to you. People see this and now they won't play there. i have been paid by them many times but they take deposits, then change payout limits and time frames so it takes forever to get your money out. They would be much better off just paying you with no run around. They need to not even allow you to bet a correlated parlay if they are saying it is not allowed. They have made this a subjective assessment and that is disastrous for them. In essence they free-rolled you... had you lost, that certainly would've been allowed.

amateur hour. they should work as hard on preventing this situation as they do pestering their customers

IF a book lets you play a correlated play, they need to pay unless it's 100% correlated (like Saints -6.5 with Saints -250 ML).

Just wanted to give a final update on my Youwager dispute, and a warning to anyone considering depositing with them before March Madness. First, many thanks to SBR for helping me with a resolution, although it took over a month and I was paid a lot less than I was owed, I gotta give SBR credit for stepping up on my behalf. Youwager on the other hand is a complete joke, would never trust this sportsbook again. Not only did they put me through a ton of unnecessary hassle and stress, when they finally agreed to payout a portion of my winnings, the most they could do is 2k every two weeks until it was fulfilled, that should raise a BIG red flag about their cash flow. Needless to say, I will be sticking with legit offshore sportsbooks like BetOnline, Bookmaker, and Bovada.

    Beware of Youwager.
