Single-game Sports Wagering in Canada
It appears that single-game sports wagering is finally going to be legalized nation-wide up here in Canada.

My concern is that we're going to get a bunch of soft, square books that will ban winners. Is there any way the public can voice their concerns about certain operators getting licensed? I can see a situation where we'll be forced to continue to bet offshore even with legal books in Canada.

Goverment is seein how much money is being wagered offshore and in the USA. That is one of the arguments that is being made to pass this bill.
Goverment is going to run this like they are right now but doesnt mean private companies like The Score etc won't try to jump in.

Soft books that ban and don’t pay are legal in Canada for single wagers and have been for a long time.
The single bet wager you’re talking about is the Govt that will be going in the single bet Buisness.
They will not ban but I presume you will be betting into stupid lines like minimum-110 but probably -115
if you can beat a -115 line constantly you deserve a medal..
The good news is you will never have to sweat the payout..

Also the amount of money they are and will lose by the border closing and those states offering sports betting. No need to go to Windsor from Detroit when there are 10 books that offer mobile betting.

In what world are people actually worried about 'banning winners'? Sure, if you are exploiting markets you will surely get limited. But conflating that with books 'banning winners' is conflating the issue to support your design to profit.
If you walk with cash to any of these major books and attempt to place a bet @ whatever the limits are, they aren't going to turn you away and say - sorry you win too much. There is so many different ways to get action down, that the small group of people that are merely worried about having their 'accounts limited', are honestly just worried about exploiting markets that they won't otherwise be able to bet.
BTW this coming from a props player who gets limited quite often. I feel the pain but really there is no justifiable argument that I can make in good faith on my part. They are just watching their backs and in no way are they simply 'banning me because I'm a winner'. Thats lazy and without context and unfair. But, such is the world of those who cry about this topic.

Yeah same here in B.C. , the only good odds are sometimes the oddset as the lines don't change.
