The OP also states that he first sent ID, selfie and utility bill and Bovada then sent him his $10K withdrawal. Then after paying OP , the very next day they lock/disabled his account. So Bovada must have felt totally comfortable with their intense security measures to pay him $10K and then the next day discovered that they missed something and locked his account. This is an odd situation so I'm interested to see how this plays out but if Bovada decides they are not going to pay and claim a violation of rules has occurred , they really need to state what exactly the OP has done to be denied payment.

Hopefully this isn't a case of Bovada ok with paying the $10K which was roughly the amount deposited however not wanting to pay the player the actual winnings for whatever reason.

DeeDeeKing , the OP, did you request another withdrawal the next day after you received the $10K and then they locked your account? Or did you just try to login and continue wagering and realized they locked your account before you requested another withdrawal ?

I guess this would be a reasonable basis for not being transparent from their perspective. Thanks for enlightening me.

"did you request another withdrawal the next day after you received the $10K and then they locked your account?"
Yes, I requested another 9K and that's when they locked the account. Here's the detailed timeline.

    - Monday (10/5) I request 10K payout. They send email requesting id/selfie/bill
    - Tuesday (10/6) I send all documents.
    - Thursday (10/8) They email me "Thank you for submitting your documentation. Your account has been re-enabled." Then they send another email "Your withdrawal has been processed for the approved amount."
    - Thursday (10/8) After the account is unlocked and the payment goes through I request another payout.
    - Friday (10/9) I get an email "At your earliest convenience, please contact us regarding your Bovada account." The account is locked.
    - Friday (10/9) A couple hours later I get another email thanking me for sending the documents and asking me to contact them.
    - Saturday (10/10) I spend my time on live chat getting the regular run around, explaining my issue over and over, waiting on hold. I tell the person on the chat I don't know what more they want from me. He (I assume it was a he) said they need to speak with me, I tell him to call the number on my account. He said they'd call within 48 hours and wants to know the best time. I tell him anytime on Saturday, and anytime after Sunday morning on Sunday. We left it at that. I assumed I was getting a call.
    - Monday (10/12) I wait till noon so it's exactly 48 hours. I go on chat again and tell them how frustrated I am (I was probably ruder than I should have been but nothing out of line). I asked why they didn't call like they said they would. The live chat guy said it's 48 business hours. Now, that was never said earlier. And think how absurd this is. I literally scheduled the call on a Saturday, how can they tell me they work on business hour time when on Saturday I was making arrangements to speak with them later that weekend. When I told the clerk my schedule for Saturday and Sunday he didn't say "oh no, we only call on business days." That was never said. This was more goal post moving. The clerk couldn't or wouldn't tell me why my account was locked. I asked for a phone number to call and he said they don't do phone calls. At this point I realize this is all a big waste of my time. The people who tell me they're calling me later are telling me they don't take phone calls. How does this make sense. Over the weekend after some googling about what to do when a sportsbook takes your money I came across a bunch of SBR posts. I told the clerk I'm reporting them and filled out a complaint form.
    - Monday (10/12) Around 2:00 oclock instead of sending me the 9K I requested they send an amount close to my earlier deposit and the email I posted earlier

Thanks for the timeline. This looks more like a misunderstanding that escalated into the predicament that you're currently in.

Most books have 24/7 customer support but most administrative actions occur during functional business hours (of whatever time zone the book has chosen). I would bet all of this would have materialized very differently if you responded on Friday or did not immediately throw out the "I'm reporting you" card on Monday. According to your timeline this all transpired within a relatively short time frame and they seemed more than reasonable in their efforts to communicate with you.

Assuming if what you're saying about Bovada's CS is all true, then I think most on this forum will tell you that chat support / online customer service reps can be a crap shoot. Sorry that you got poor and slightly inaccurate information.

I really would like to see you get your winnings back. I could understand Bovada terminating their relationship with you given the unpleasant chat you had with them on 10/12 but this isn't ground for confiscating your funds unless they've stated in their T&Cs that they don't take kindly to threats and intimidation via chat and will confiscate winnings if and when that happens.

    Good luck

Yeah, whenever I'm dealing with any company, I assume when they say X hours/days, they means business days unless otherwise explicitly stated. If it's an urgent matter I'll ask them to clarify. Helps keep me from setting unrealistic expectations and being disappointed.

I was under the impression OP did not take a bonus, I thought he deposited 9k and put it all on a parlay and won. Hit and run but nothing wrong with that as he met the 1x rollover but it sounds like it pissed off someone at Bovada. I could be completely wrong as there are very few details about the winning 25k portion of the thread.

No, there was no bonus. And yes, I bet the entire 9,000. Maybe you can call it hit and run but since they don't let you take out more than 9,500 at a time it's hard to run off with anything over 20,000. If I did piss off someone, like you say, I would love to know what I did. Since it's been over a week (9 days to be exact). And that email I posted (107 words including the greeting and signature) is the only thing they sent before they confiscated my money. And for some reason some people here think "corporate security" is an acceptable reason not to tell people why your taking their money, because that will never be abused.

I hear ya, I’d be pissed too. I’m under the impression SBR doesn’t have the influence or pull with Bovada as much as they do with other A+ rated books. There’s been a ton of Bovada withdrawal issues and lengthy security check threads lately and there isn’t much SBR can do to help except to say wait it out. Major red flag in my opinion but I don’t play at Bovada either.

What was the parlay bet? Was either leg a fixed match, or an obvious bad line?

Fixed match? It was the French Open, ffs. It's one of the four grand slam tournaments of the year, it's not some 3rd tier tennis match in Russia or Table tennis in China. I realize you're just being skeptical so I'm not directing this at you but 1. You guys saw the email they sent, nothing about bad lines, fixed matches etc. 2. If there was match fixing going on at the French open we would have heard about it, since it's one of the biggest tennis events in the world.

Since it's been well over a week since I submitted my complaint. And I haven't heard anything from SBR since I started this post. I'm starting to suspect SBR isn't interested in upsetting companies they have a relationship with.

I'm not trying to be snarky but if that is the issue why hasn't SBR responded with that? The sole email I got from SBR (last Thursday) said "will take a few days to get back to you." If that's an issue why not email me and say that?

Also does it matter that's not even the match I bet on?

I wasn't trying to be snarky either. Or make any sort of comment if match fixing was involved. I have no clue, hardly even been reading the thread.

But when you are being snarky at the other people for their questions, and turn out to be this far wrong yourself, maybe take a breath and think about if your other assumptions are similarly opposite of reality.

I realize you're trying to be helpful. I have replied to the dispute agent email.

10/12 - I filled out the complaint form.
10/14 - I send an email asking if anyone has seen the complaint.
10/15 - The dispute agent replies to the email saying he's speaking with the sportsbook and it will take a few days.
10/15 - I reply back to the agent's email asking if I should delete this post because I care more about my money than going public on a forum. No response.
10/22 - I reply again to the dispute agent's response saying it's been a week since his last communication. No response to this email either.

I don't expect SBR to solve my problem overnight and I am appreciative that they even provide this service. But the agent said "a few days" to get back to you nine days ago and since then went dark. I don't think a simple one-liner "hey sorry taking longer than expected will update soon" is wishing for too much. Especially after a follow up email.

Why do books continue to accept questionable bets then attempt to resolve it after the bet has been completed? Unless he is past posting or betting an extremely bad line posted in error, why isn't he getting paid?

At least you have a dispute agent assigned to your case. I haven't gotten that far. Over a week and not even an email to acknowledge my case. Good luck deedee. I really hope you get paid.

This is ridiculous on the part of Bovada but this is what they have been doing to many players over the past few months. They act how they wish with no justification for their actions/decisions.

In other words, if we talk about multi accounting, Bovada has no problem taking 6.5k from a guy who (supposedly) is playing again after being banned there, but once he wins (again) they begin to investigate and tell him he's banned again?

Is this supposed to be legal?

I'm guessing it's multiaccounting allegations by Bovada.

Scenario A) They don't have anything on you, and SBR forces them to pay.
Scenario B) They have proof they don't want to make public and we will see you banned on SBR and noone finds out what happened in the end. You are one of the few people who know whether A or B is the case. The book is too big to do this to someone they can't prove is guilty.

I should hope we find out what happens either way. I and a lot of people here track these cases to keep tabs on the sportsbooks. We need to know if the complaint is legitimate or frivolous. SBR has provided the outcome of past complaints, and I expect the same here.

SBR is not forcing any established book to pay even with proof. I appreciate they are here to help players but I'm not naive.

SBR - it's your duty to provide an update here. He's filed a complaint, and apparently heard nothing. Bovada is one of the biggest sponsors of SBR, so it should be pretty easy to open a line of communication with them.

SBR out of all the contacts you have at the different bookmakers.... How Is It Even Possible That You Cannot Contact Anyone Regarding This Account. Even If To Say Its Literally Still Under Review.

Id like an SBR update as well. I have an active account with Bovada and will not be sending them another penny until I see how this plays out and is resolved. If you’re allowing a book to steal from a player and member here that is ridiculous

Well, I don't think it's malicious, it's either a big misunderstanding or the player has violated a rule somehow.

6 weeks though is ridiculous either pay the guy or tell him he’s getting stiffed. If they had something on him that was legit it would have come out by now

Yes, I'm not sure what the deal is but it would be convenient to know.
