I never said it was YOUR fault, everyone that has been on SBR for 3 months knows mybookie is a shit site. All I said was you obviously didn’t do your homework before you sent $2000 to a third world country. Google MYBOOKIE.AG SCAM. Or better yet, type mybookie scam in the search field here on SBR . The scam isn’t new, been around for years. I just don’t feel sorry for any of the first time posters crying about being scammed by mybookie. And they are almost always first time posters.

Good luck getting your money, hopefully SBR can help you out.

I'm afraid that's the essence of the problem here. So my prediction is, the only thing SBR will achieve is that OP gets back his deposit.

If you deposit your money in an overseas account, you are BEGGING to get taken. Only a complete and total FOOL would deposit his money in an account in a foreign country that is notorious for this sort of thing to go on. You have ZERO recall. What are you going to do? Sue them? People like yourself are the perfect example of the saying: "There is a sucker born every minute". Putting your money in a place where there is absolutely NO CHANCE of getting it out if the books decide to keep it is about as dumb as it gets. And all of you losers wonder why you are always so broke and in need of cash. Do you people EVER think ahead? Do you have any idea what the term "Contingency Plan" means?

    Message Me

Be VERY, VERY careful. I sent this info to SBR support, but they have not got back to me. This was in their FAQ.
We are a new sports book site, but our owner group and management team ran BetOnSports, one of the most widely recognized sports books in the world, for a number of years.

They also sent me an unsolicited E mail offering a Free $25 account. I contacted them demanding the money they stole from me in 2006 back. Of course, They never got back to me, but have since removed that statement from their FAQ. They actually thought it was a good thing to identify themselves as former owners and/or management that ran BetOnSports.

This group has never contacted me or solicited my business. You sure about this?

The main guy is still in jail I believe. Obviously employees would go to different books to work. May have some at BOL I believe. I donít hold anything against an employee.

Their own words when they first started were that they were the same owner group and management team that ran BOS(and ripped off Millions of Dollars from Customers when they closed up). Can't be much clearer than that. I believe the main guy was released from jail a few years ago.

Both of 2 main guys was sentenced to jail in 2009 for about 3, 4 years each.

Which means they are out 7 years ago .

    Possible come back of scumbags

Did some investigating. It is indeed true upon mybookie opening, Gary Kaplan in fact was involved with them..

Barstool used to have some affiliation as well.

Do you have a source on this? (The Kaplan part, not Barstool, which has been well publicized)

Edit: Nevermind. Here' just one. There are numerous other sites which back up @TheGuesser's claim that MyBookie promoted the fact that BOS is running the show. They must have realized that was bad publicity, and now no mention of BOS nor Kaplan can be found anywhere in their materials

Itís a relatively new offshore sportsbook launched 2014, believed to have some big players behind it, including Gary Kaplan, according to trusted sources. Kaplan founded the now-defunct BetonSports, which in 2004 made a successful IPO on the London Stock Exchange.

But hereís how that venture ultimately ended, via Reuters:

The founder of the defunct British online offshore gambling firm BetOnSports, Gary Kaplan, was sentenced to the maximum 51 months in prison for conspiring to violate U.S. racketeering and other laws, the Justice Department said on Tuesday.

Kaplan, 50, pleaded guilty to the charges in August and as part of the agreement forfeited almost $44 million which the U.S. government described as proceeds from his criminal activity. He has been incarcerated since March 2007 and the judge in the case in St. Louis could have given him a sentence from 41 to 51 months in prison.

Maybe someone thinking about depositing at the scam site MYBOOKIE.AG will read this thread beforehand if they do an ounce of research. Get it? Just making sure it shows up on google. No sympathy here, just tired of seeing these threads, do your homework folks.

If they don't return the funds an action like this should have MYBOOKIE regraded to D or F

This is theft plain and simple. No other way too look at it.

Yup. This is one of the worst ones I've seen in a while. And MyBookie has a long list of unbelievable complaints recently.
