Does Bookmaker give your email away?

I registered with bookmaker a week or so ago for a contest here on SBR and I used my legit email. A few days ago I started noticing spam emails from online casino offers and sites that claim to teach me how to beat the casino lol.

So seeing as bookmaker is the only place Ive used my email recently and than after that I get these emails, I started wondering, did they give my email away to a third party?

Prolly, BM has no shame...they would call you in the middle of the night if they feel like it.

I think its been reported that lists are either sold or stolen. Either way the e-mail you give them will get spammed. IIRC a phishing scam was initiated on a BM list.

Lets face it, they are a good book, not the best. They pay sbr a lot is advertising.

Most books have their address list "stolen" or whatever but I'm sure they sell it.

Betjam does or they had a rougue employee that spammed me for fake rolex watches.

I have gotten an influx of spam after every sportsbook and gambling related site (such as a forum) that I have signed up, and Bookmaker may have been the worse of them all. But what I do to avoid it being an issue is that I use one email address for all sports investing activity. Tied to this email address is a filter that automatically moves any email not from specific addresses (like the ones used to send deposit and withdrawal confirmations) to the junk folder. Then once every week or two I will check the spam folder and see if there are any good bonus offers in there, but otherwise it is nothing but pure crap.

Fortunately Bookmaker hasn't called me yet, but if and when they do I'm going to be perturbed. Considering the nature of the business, books should have an easy way to opt out of such contact.

Hm thanks guys, Ill definately be setting up a new email for sports books lol. Though Pinnacle has never emailed me once, except to reply when I've emailed them or to confirm a deposit or what ever. Never spam though.

I guess I was naive thinking all books were like that lol.
