    Got the boot from BetDSI

DSI gave me the boot a couple of weeks ago, confiscated around $1000.

Wrote to SBR, but they passed on assisting. OSGA looked into it a bit, but DSI told both OSGA and me to take a hike.

Is DSI sufficiently considered the bottom of the barrel these days, so no need to beat this dead horse? Or are there still players there who might want to know more about it (and take it as a possible warning?)

Let me know, and I'll spill if there's any interest in what a D rated book is doing these days, because all I can do at this point is warn other players.

This doesn’t shock me. Had an account with them years ago. This is another reason why I use a local and not offshore. Offshore is trash.

Ed thanks. SBR gave very fair warning by knocking DSI from A+ rating to D, but I left some money there despite their warnings, I guess I was lulled to sleep by their long association with CRIS.

My time came a couple of weeks ago to find out what the difference between A+ and D ratings, and the difference is a book with no problems in making a grab for players funds.

Since we're close to NFL season, and people may be thinking about depositing or re-upping for some bonus, I'll tell my story, and people can decide if DSI were justified in what they did, before depositing funds there. But if no one uses DSI anymore, no need to warn folks, I guess.

(I do have other A+ outs, but thanks for the heads up ED).

Yeah sure, I don't want to overdramatize things, so here goes. I woiuldn't have thought it was bootworthy/confiscate funds worthy, but anyway...

I deposited with DSI originally in 2013, made a few other deposits in 2013/2014, but none since then (total deposits around $1500).

So back then they were part of CRIS, and if any of you play there you know about their streak contest, the one where you get $25 FP for 5 wins in a row, $100 FP for 9 wins in arow, etc.

But to get the full freeplay amount, you have to wager at least $300 a month, otherwise you only get 10% of payout ($2.50 FP, $10 FP, etc.)

Anyway, I played from 2014-ish until early 2019, when after catching 5 in a row, CS told me I wasn't eligible because I live outside U.S. and Canada. OK, so I stopped playing the contest, but kept wagering some there. (Btw my longest streak was 11 games, so I received $100 FP a couple of times, and a few $25 FP's a year, maybe $800 FP total over the years.)

So I stopped playing earlier this year, maybe January or February. Then in July I tried to w/d around $400, and after 2 days, my account was blocked. You can only chat with CS if you have an active account, so I e-mailed them. I was told that my account was suspended and my funds confiscated because I had been playing their "free contest" for 5 years, but was ineligible due to outside North America residence. Appeal to management was denied.

The following points I made got me nowhere:

    1. They paid me in freeplays, but confiscated a larger amount in cash.

    2. When the contest started, they were part of CRIS, and there was no geographic limits

    3. The system allowed me to play, and at least 6 or 8 different customer agents checked my eligibility after I contacted them for winning FP payment. Are all their CS agents that incompetent?

    4. Separation of customers between US/Canada and rest of the world is a fairly recent thing, it wasn't really the case 5 years ago when the contest started, I never would have even considered this kind of geographical separation between clients was happening

    5. The contest is called "free" but that's only for 10% payout. For full payout, you have to wager there, at least $300 month. (If they wanted players to wager more to be eligible, they need to let players know, so players can decide if it's worth it or not). As long as I'm wagering, even if I knew I was ineligible (I didn't), I don't see how it could be considered taking a 5 year shot - I was paying to play the contest by wagering up front, wagering money at DSI I probably wouldn't have otherwise.

Not much doubt in my mind if I had $3k or $5k in my account that would have been confiscated as well. Fortunately it was a bit less than $1000. They absolutely refused to take any responsibility that I had been playing so long was partly their negligence (system allowed play, several CS agents approved payouts)

I'll tell you what I think it opens the door to. DSI management can tell their agents if they see any T&C infractions, to not tell the customer. Instead, write an internal memo. Then later, may be the customer will go on a hot streak, or make a large deposit, and they'll point to the past T&C infraction and hide behind it to make a cash grab.

Well, just telling the story from my side, don't know if other top books would act this way or not, but I can tell you will get no mercy from these guys if they can justify (from their viewpoint) a cash grab.

Well I won't be depositing there. I used to play with them back when they were A+. I don't know how books stay in business very long when they do shady stuff like this.
    Thanks for sharing your story.

I don't play there, but RJ Bell keeps touting them and says if there's ever an issue to contact him and he will clear it up since he vouches for them.

I'd try tweeting him and see if that helps.
