*Resolved* BetOnline wiping out my balance

So last Tue or Wed I sent 1000 dollar thru Bitcoin to BetOnline.

I log in on Fri morning i see that my balance is down to 2 dollars. And i find out its due to 'casino loss'

I dont play casino games and certainly never played it at BetOnline.

A clerk called me and told me I have to reset my password and call them back.
    Fine....looking good so far.

However they were down over the weekend.

Finally I get thru yesterday and she says 'they are in a meeting, they will call me'. It never happened.

    Today they are unreachable again...

At first I felt good about my balance being reset, however after some digging I find it happened to at least one other person..

The site ripped me off sevearal times Are first it was just a few sports bets that I won but they didn't pay off Then all the money I had in the Sportsbook account funds disappeared overnight and I was told I had spent it in the casino (I didn't) They told me to wait 24-48 hours for an answer During the wait time somebody made 3 more deposits into my BetOnline account usong my debit card and not surprisingly that money is also gone (stolen) All contact with them has lead to no resolution, foot dragging and more wait time Tomorrow I go to my bank and file wire fraud charges Avoid playing on this asshole site at all costs ubless you want somebody to illegaly drain your bank account and shrug

If you just relax and take your time. Call them, have your facts straight. They are not going to take your little money dude.

Call again, get a service rep and go from there.

Betonline have had a few issues with this. In most cases they have reversed the loss for the player. It does not happen fast. They will be checking where the activity came from and if it is inconsistent with you having done it yourself.

The guy you are quoting there would almost certainly have not got his money back. If the 'hacker' is using your debit card to re-deposit and play the account... like a drunk degen going on a bender and losing himself and trying to reverse the damage next day, then you probably would not either. But it doesn't sound like you case is the same as his really, does it?

Again, they wont be fast about it, but if you feel like they are not looking after you here, please send in a sportsbook complaint form and SBR can ask a manager to make sure someone is for you.

Will BOL disable casino if requested? I never use it, and given reports of these abuses repeating, it may be best to turn the damn thing off permanently.

Does BOL just take shots at accounts by fleecing them in the casino?? WAY too many BOL stories of balance theft all played out in the casino. Not cool

I asked them to and they obliged. Did it with all of the books I play at so I'm not tempted to blow my balance at Blackjack after winning a bet and thinking I could keep building the balance.

The problem with these situations is that it is becoming more common. I guarantee scammers will read these posts and then say "wow what is stopping me from using a proxy to mask/change IP and then randomly bet in casino and freeroll the book".

I guarantee at least one of these many stories, the OP gambled away the balance using a hidden IP and then got his balance back after "inconsistent betting". The problem is, I don't know how you dispute either side.

Feel like Betonline needs to add 2FA authentication to their accounts to stop all this.

    Thanks guys!

The complaint got resolved and my balance reset.

Now there is one thing that terrifies me (nothing to do with BetOnline) is that they told me the activity came from Korea (didnt say which, probably South)

I had this account for a while now. Even played there last year (and lost my balance).

So all this happened 2 days after I made a bitcoin deposit. Cryptos are big in South Korea. I wonder if somehow they tracked by transaction from blockchain to my account at BOL.
Maybe they logged in and seeing they cant steal the money thru a bitcoin withdrawal (I took a free play so money was "frozen") they went to town in the casino.

So basically to make a long story short, anyone ever heard of bitcoin transactions being monitored/intercepted and what have you????

How safe are they? (between wallet and player account)

I'm more concerned about BOL's security.... Or it could be your own computer that has some kind of spy ware on it? I don't know much about computer viruses so who knows?

I just don't think that anyone can get into a gambling account just by seeing anonymous transactions on the Bitcoin ledger.... Even if they happened to know what address BOL was using to receive coins (for which BOL uses a fresh address every transaction) how would that give them access to your account?

Thanks for sharing, this should be concerning for anyone with a funded BOL account.

Why does this only happen at BOL?

Either passwords are being intercepted via insecure connections, or insiders have access and are selling them on the black market. There's really no other logical explanation why one book only would frequently be hacked in the exact same way.

My thoughts exactly. This has to be the 4th or5th time I’ve read the same story with BOL. What is the benefit of losing money in the casino? Does the casino software provider get a cut of profits? Maybe it’s a game for hackers to post how many accounts they hacked and who won/lost the most money? Would we hear if the hackers actually won money for the account? If they have access to the account then they probably have all of your details too, so if they won they could email/call you and say hey I hacked your account, won $5000 and I’ll split it with you. I have no idea, just throwing shit out there.
Why doesn’t BOL do damage control and explain what is going on and how they plan to correct It? They obviously have major issues.

Good point. As long as SBR says the issue is "resolved" -- BOL has no incentive to do any damage control. People erroneously think, "Oh well, must be hackers," when in fact it has to be an inside job.

Maybe a correlation between 5Dimes and BOL personelle. 5Dimes: many had CC info hawked and BOL with casino fraud. How does anyone do any banking in these seemingly lawless countries?
