I called the casino yesterday and they were saying they were going to offer a temp book near the arcade until the fully new one in the fall.What that temp set up would be Im not sure.Maybe a kiosk or two but hey its something.

And I agree that the book will get alot of bizness from Atl and charlotte.Acc and SEC FANS will go for sure.Also maybe guve the GA legislature a kick in the ass to pass something.

It has been that way ever since the Tribes paid off the "governator" to kill the Churchill Downs attempt to open a casino at Hollywood Park. We all know what happened to Hollywood Park, don't we. California allows every illegal, black, and indigent to vote because these people always vote in Democrats in. The Democrats do NOTHING without getting a kick back. Peons such as yourself mean NOTHING to them. The Tribes get huge money from their slots, as well as other table games. They get big bucks for their rooms. They could care less about Sports Wagering. Anyone can wager on horses at any number of off site wagering places, INCLUDING some Indian Casino's. People with money (unlike yourself) have no problems getting wagers down in Las Vegas and collecting on the spot. So stop running your mouth and put the blame where it belongs. Guy has no idea that the Tribes have jurisdiction over all gambling in California.

Someone should tell him that it was part of a previous deal and that the it's the Tribes that have been squashing legislation.

Well I went to Harrahs in Cherokee yesterday(actually won some &#127974 and asked around and took a look regarding the book.They have promotions about it but its still not planning to open until mid fall.Their is no construction at present but the area assigned for it has kind of been cleaned up and stuff moved towards the far end of the casino.I was told after speaking to some folks that their will be betting kiosks open before the actual book is open but that wont be until mid fall as well.One thing for sure is they are in no hurry to get it built with football just about to start.

Kiosk bets will be available early October. Harrahs cherokee does it’s own thing and very stingy with promotions.

Was at Harrahs Cherokee yesterday. I was told second week of November. Will be called "The Book" (wow no creativity at all).
dsgator55 is right, Harrahs is stingy and in no hurry to get it going. They have 0 competition being the only game in town so they dont feel the need for incentives or promotions and that sux for players.
