How on earth is 5Dimes the #1 Sportsbook?

These guys are a hassle to get Cash-Outs from. 24 hours after Cash-Out you get a random call from a 1877 number asking you to confirm every detail about you, even the phone # that they are calling. Then hours later you get an e-mail asking you to confirm your account # and the wallet that you requested. Then you wait another 24 hours to get paid. If you didn't write the wallet down, and have the abbreviated version of it (or a new wallet), you get your transaction cancelled without even the courtesy of an email back to let you know.

Perhaps I'm in the minority, but jumping through hoops to get a Cash-Out is not cool. Jumping through hoops to get a BITCOIN Cash-Out and waiting days to get one is really not cool.

I think priorities as far as Sportsbooks should be
    1. reliability on getting paid
    2. timely cash outs

I have a lot of money in pending bets on 5Dimes, and would really use their service more... but as inefficient as it is, in a climate currently where there are tons of "inferior" Sportsbooks that are light years more efficient, 5Dimes would be the last book I'd recommend to anyone.

I've been lurking here for a few months now time to time and have read more than a few questionable things from 5Dimes. Even others questioning how they are ranked so highly, but with no definitive answers. What gives?

    Flame away.

I don't even have them in my top 10 their paranoia is ridiculous they have limited me on everything from team totals to 2nd half bets on quarters just ridiculous.
For a book to be this paranoid and petty and take minimal action is a tragic waste of an otherwise terrific model and variety shop.
Their dynamic lines are terrific until they nickel and dime your ass cap you out at 100 to 200. Sad

I'm not going to play with them anymore. I have given them a lot of action over the past 15 or so years. Down a TON to them. They are the 1 shop that I have consistently lost at. I have received Cash-Outs but they are far and few between and always really annoying. I do not get a good feeling with them at all, especially now that Tony is gone. I was told a few weeks ago that they were going to update their rules and to wait 48 hours. The rules were not updated. Still as unclear as they were before. Now with this latest Cash-Out issue I told them that it's inexcusable that they would cancel a Cash-Out without having the courtesy to let me know, and was told:

"As per security reasons we do not respond to emails that were not correctly sent as we do not know if it's the customer sending the email."

Funny, because not only is there no "security reason" in sending an email without any details that could breach security, but in the e-mail I confirmed all of my account details. What a clown show. Reading all of the slow pay issues now. Guess I never noticed how bad it could be since I rarely even take a payout. Gonna be my last post about them in this thread as I don't plan on wasting any more time with them. Ride my bets out and done. Still would like to know how they are #1 though.

I'll forever mourn the day Pinnacle left the US market.

It's pretty easy if you know what to expect. I get my payouts from 5Dimes in a few hours sometimes. 2 days max, and that's usually because I missed their call or didn't have time to reply to their email.

Official payouts report thread makes it appear that most people get paid in the 24-48 hour window.

Sometimes flags come up that we have no way to know about, and extra security checks are used. That's not a deal breaker for me at any book personally.

There are definitely more hoops to jump through for BTC payouts compared with the other major offshore books and it can be annoying. They also seem to make changes to their BTC payout process more often than the others. That said they offer a lot of markets and are really good for player props and exotics. You can also still find some decently priced Wong teasers there even though they do a lot of teaser protection especially in NFL. If I had to pick just one sportsbook it probably would not be them anymore (used to be) because of the slow speed of their payouts compared to other majors. But IMO they're still way up there.

    great post

i had $3K in the process of withdrawal in june. they also do not make that withdrawal amount unavailable. given the degenerate i am i ended up betting the money and losing it before the withdrawal was processed.

yes it is my fault for losing but they act very slow for a reason and let those funds playable for a reason.

Many must have different priorities than you. I'm fine with getting paid in a day or 2 and value the betting options and ease of use over a 6 hour payout when I'm using a site every day for years.

You have to go through phone verification at least once (they call you on the phone number in your account basically just to confirm your withdrawal). I think that is only the first time. You also have to provide standard KYC type docs -- ID and bill. Their payout dept e-mails you asking for your username, PIN and wallet address, so make sure you write down or copy + paste your wallet address somewhere because if it changes between when you initiate and when they approve they cancel and you start over.

If you miss the phone call sometimes they'll call you back and try again but after two times definitely cancel and start over.

If you accidentally type the wrong PIN in the e-mail (say its 9807 and you accidentally type 9804), cancel and start over.

They also seem to change the order of their processes more often than others; I don't know if that's to try to up security but it's hard to get in a "routine" or know what to expect in one order.

Don't get me wrong, they have paid me every time I've asked which during basketball season is fairly often. But I do feel like "for security" they do make it more difficult than I've experienced with Heritage, LowVig, Bookmaker

Been there many times over. Can’t stand the delay on books. I noticed BOL will typically withdraw the amount from acct right away up to last deposit amount but after that you gotta wait. That’s what kills me. Really wish they would take it out right away even if it took 24-48 hours to process.

5Dimes is A+ only because Pinnacle is not available to US residents and most voters reside in the good ol USA.

No way Pinny isn't #1 by a ton if US gamblers could play there.

It's really not that bad if you know what to expect.

The ID and address verification is for the first payout only and is industry standard anyways.

For each payout, sometimes you will get a verification call and email, but others they'll skip the call and just do the email, so there are really only two patterns to learn and they only differ by a phone call. If you miss their call, you can always call their customer support from your phone number on record, so it's not like you're screwed if you happen to be unavailable when they call you. The verification also serves as protection for you. It's impossible for someone to hack your account and take your money if they don't also have access to your email account.

It's not "that bad", but it is more cumbersome than the other books I mentioned. I still use 5Dimes every day and would happily recommend them.

Anyone had payout problems where they don't actually process your payout? They send me the bitcoin verification email, i reply with bitcoin address account number and pin and they keep saying they don't receive the email although i have evidence that its sent and no problem with the email to any other address. Happened 3 times so far. Never had problem with 5dimes in 6 years but now seeming dodgy?

Try sending your email as plain test instead of html, if it was the latter.

And make sure there is no links or footer adverts in it if possible.

I have seen similar reports about lost emails a few times, not sure what it is, but it gets solved each time and have not seen anyone else mention it in quite a while.

I never had any payout problems, but just got limited to "10$ to win" on the Sports Betting Plus platform, which makes it pretty much unusable (for odds of 10+ it actually does, as I can't reach the 1$ minimum betting amount anymore)...

It's their right I guess, but I have rarely heard about such drastic personal limits at 5dimes before. Has anyone experienced the same recently?

Yes. They have two email addresses which they will send the verification email from - bitcoin@5dimes.com and payouts@5dimes.com. I forget which one has this problem, but for whatever reason, one of those originating email accounts has this issue. When I reply to it, they don’t receive the reply for some reason. The ONLY way I’ve been able to fix this is to have them send the verification email from the other account. For example, let’s say it’s the bitcoin@5dimes account which they send the email from and don’t get the reply. If they instead send it from payouts@5dimes, then everything works fine.

The only reason I discovered this solution is because some agents at 5Dimes support have seen this problem before and they know how to fix it. If I get an agent on the phone who’s never heard about it before, then I have to persuade them to reluctantly go along with my instructions. Because it’s the only thing that works, and they won’t approve a payout without the email verification.

I know. It’s weird. Luckily, it doesn’t happen every time,

Thanks seems strange that they would have "problems" with an email address like this for so long, I send 3 replies that they say don't get?. Makes me wonder if they are purposely slowing withdrawals of some in hope people spend before withdrawing.

Withdrawal process already slow before this, after 6years with 5dimes and 10years here I'll move to another book and recommended downgrade from A+

They don't need to lie about not receiving emails to slow down a payout. They can just...slow it down.

I seriously doubt that's the reason why because 5Dimes payouts are actually pretty fast. And since I call after sending every verification email to make sure they got it, there are zero delays on my payouts.

I've been with them since 1998. Never had a payout in less than 48 hours in the past two years. The slowest paying of all my books.

Agree that they're not as fast as the Bookmakers and Heritages of the world, but they're not as slow as some.

But my point is this isn't some lie they make up to slow anything down. Because if you know about the issue and work around it, they send payment on schedule.

Rate them highly as a book; especially tennis. However, I don't use them much even though they often have better lines than bookmaker - at times cause of difference in class in payouts. Having to worry about payout times will affect your plays...

I left them a few years back secondary to the hoops I’d jump thru to get payouts. I miss the expanded wagering selection. A+ books come with hassle-free payouts. That not be 5D

Still continue to do good by me. It is a stress to phone and email to verify but if your coins got hacked then we would all be questioning their security I guess. Still rate them as the best and just had recent payout within hours. Any hiccups I had in past they fixed.

I’ve had great luck with 5d. only one time out of about 20 have i had an issue where they kept saying they hadn’t received my email over and over to the point i had to change email addresses. But i am angered with their 3rd party live betting extra vendor for choosing to work on their platform on the weekend instead of during the week. they’re saying it’s gonna be down until monday. that’s just dumb timing

As you can do a google search for yourself. Tony was heavily involved in 'using' peoples information elsewhere and pulling shit like this. Just look at other threads on the delay tactics 5D uses.

5dimes is literally the book USA gamblers need to be playing at if they are trying to make money at this, and it's all because of the reduced juice option. That alone is worth going through their ridiculous hoops.

Now if only there could be an online book that pays out fast and doesn't require ID like nitrogensports and clones 5d reduced juice lines. Perhaps they could offer playing with your choice of cash or btc.

they been doing delay tactics for years, let me tell you another tactic they use that you have to be careful about, they will grade a bet as a win so you thinking you have more money then you actually have and they correctly later and you end up betting more than you think you have and end up with zero quicker

Their payouts are slower than most of the other highly rated books, but never had it take more than 2 days and they've usually been responsive when I've communicated with them. The one I did earlier in the week was fairly prompt, but didn't help they called me for verification while I was busy at work so the callback was delayed.
