Bovada Bonuses Have An Expiration Date??

Tried to get a friend into sportsbetting, he deposited with BTC at Bovada. Deposit was made 6 months ago, and he's been betting regularly with it ever since. Yesterday he logged in, and his funds were gone. They took his account down to 0$, no warning. He even pulled up the Bonus advertisement, no mention of an expiration date, just the normal rollover terms.

    Is this normal??

He just spoke to Bovada CS on the phone. They claim there is a 6 month expiration on "Some" bonuses. He then pointed out that it hadn't even been 6 full months when his account was taken down to $0. And the CS agent said it is 5-6 months...…

He also said some of his pending EPL future bets will be forfeited.

    Fair warning to others

Seems dishonest at best, but after his 5-6 month comment more like straight up stealing.

    A+ book?

Bovada has some of the best bonus's offered in the business.. I never had a problem. Been on Bovada for years and years.. Quick payouts also via bitcoin which I like..

6 months is a long time to leave your account stagnant, I suspect you may might run into some kind of problems on most books if you don't visit the website in 6 months..

I did that with Heritage years ago and had to go thru an entirely new screening process just to re-instate the account. I probably left it alone for a year if I remember correctly.. Probably a good idea to stay active on all books.

He had been betting regularly. He initially placed a large chunk of it on EPL futures, and then was probably wagering 20-30$ per game a few times a week. His account was not idle in any way, I think he was over halfway on the rollover as well.

Wow, then I don't know what happened?? Doesn't sound like the Bovada I know.

I mean it was only a few hundred bucks they stole (unless they also steal his winning futures), but he deposited there on my suggestion so I'm pretty pissed off.

Tons of betting options, bonus rollover wasn't obscene.....But then gets his cash stolen.

Where is bodog becky when you need her lol

they make it clear that it expires. i deposited for a bonus there and if i remember correctly it states the expiration date near your balance. he just never noticed.....but still a dumb rule

Yeah, they pointed this out on the call. But that still doesn't resolve a couple main issues.

    1. The 5-6 month bullshit. They removed his balance before it had even been 6 months.
    2. They don't make this expiration date clear until after you've deposited. He wanted to bet futures, he clearly wouldn't of deposited had they advertised this expiration clearly anywhere prior to him making the deposit. We dug up the original email, it only mentioned rollover, no expiration. We even clicked on the "Terms And Conditions" link, still no mention of any expiration at all.

I would expect better from an A+ book.

Anyone from SBR care to explain this from an A+ rated book?

More angry about this the more I think on it. This is shady as shit

I posted on this about a year ago. Most of their bonuses do have an expiration and it caught me off guard too. I called and spoke to a manager and they extended my expiration a few months and I was able to make the rollover. So try that and maybe mention you belong to this forum that can’t hurt. Good luck

bovada bonus money comes off slowly. if his balance went to zero, it means all he had was bonus anymore. they did not steal. he lost. that is how it is supposed to work.

The bonus was given immediately, all of it. And it was taken back prior to 6 full months. It was stolen.

And regardless it is shady as hell to only advertise the expiration AFTER you have deposited. Clearly had he known BEFORE he would not have chosen to deposit and use bovada to bet futures.

Think of it like a bank having you open a checking account. Then a few days later they take out $100 without warning for a random fee they never advertised.

    A+ book my ass

I tried talking to the CS guy as well, he wouldn’t budge. Not when it was pointed out that l it was removed prior to 6 months. Not when I re-read all the fine print on the bonus terms with no mention of any expiration anywhere. Nothing offered and acted like it was normal. Isn’t a rollover enough? I’d never heard of such bush league shit as a bonus expiration. And he was actively betting the entire time.

a+ means how likely to pay. not how much you like the bonus.

he got bonus credit. he did not get full bonus. you have to bet through to get bonus money.

i did not see 6month expiration but knew about it. did not take because of it. they make you bet fast and lose or if you bet slow to win, you cannot get all bonus money. it is a trick. i guess they say everybody knows. but if you don't know, you just have their money so they don't feel sorry for you. if you have any money left, you get to keep what is yours.

so your friend had money because he bet slow. if he bet fast, probably no money. bovada is very smart. have to watch rollover tracker very closely.

bonus is very good so you don't get as good bonus without the trick. nobody else give you that bonus.

It was a 250$ bonus on a $600 deposit. There are plenty of books that offer similar bonuses, that is less than 50% on a first time BTC deposit.

You said it yourself, "it is a trick". So no, I wouldn't expect an A+ book to pull some bullshit "Trick" like that. A+ should be top at everything, not just payouts.

not with as small a rollover. it is not explained and very complicated. you have to figure it out yourself. yes, very tricky. but still very likely to pay.

you can take same bonus with bigger rollover and less likely to get paid and be happier. probably a good idea for your friend since he might not figure it out.

i just took a bonus on there a couple of weeks ago and it didn't have an expiration but after my deposit was made it showed up as 6 months expiration when you go in to "your account" then "rewards" - seems kind of messed up that they do that. for me 6 months is plenty of time for the rollover but i can see how people wouldn't notice that.

$500 poker bonus is 30 days.

Not really doable if you play 1/2 or lower.

6 months is the timeframe for Bovada/Bodog. I went through what you did, contact Customer Service to see if there is anything they can do.

They are very transparent [maybe best out of all books] with their bonuses - have 6 months to clear most - you can see where you are with rollover [under rewards] in live time ...

Another great feature, you always know exactly where you are in the rollover, no games. I like their system for bonuses, they just don't give them to me that often.
