Back in October of 2009 I deposited $100 with a gift card that I had laying around. Sportsbetting was offering a 50% deposit bonus so I figured I’d turn the $100 gift into $150. After successfully depositing I shredded the gift card.
2 months later at the end of December I tried to make a withdrawal. I’ve had a very good experience(s) with sportsbetting up til this point. Several successful bank wires and several successful check withdrawals. They have up to date copies of my drivers license, passport, utility bill, and several ************ that I’ve deposited with.
It’s now 3 months later and I’m still unable to withdraw from sportsbetting. They insist that I provide them with the card that I deposited the $100 with. I filled out a complaint form here at SBR a month or 2 ago, I realize they probably get lots of these so I understand the delay. What I can’t understand is how it’s possible that I’m the first person this has happened too. I managed to track down the source of the gift card(citi bank). Citi informed me that the customer that bought the gift cards from them and then sold them bought them in large blocks of cards so they have no possible way of tracking the card or re-issuing a card with $0 balance. I then requested a letter from citi stating this and they would not provide it.
So whats my move here? Sportsbetting insists on a copy of the card and it’s impossible for me to provide it. My acct balance there is 5 figures and now that CBB season is winding down I’d like to get some of that out of there. Has anyone been thru a similar situation?
No dual accounts, no bonus abuse, none of the normal complaint stuff here.
Thanks
