    Problem with withdrawal at sportsbetting.com

Back in October of 2009 I deposited $100 with a gift card that I had laying around. Sportsbetting was offering a 50% deposit bonus so I figured I’d turn the $100 gift into $150. After successfully depositing I shredded the gift card.

2 months later at the end of December I tried to make a withdrawal. I’ve had a very good experience(s) with sportsbetting up til this point. Several successful bank wires and several successful check withdrawals. They have up to date copies of my drivers license, passport, utility bill, and several ************ that I’ve deposited with.

It’s now 3 months later and I’m still unable to withdraw from sportsbetting. They insist that I provide them with the card that I deposited the $100 with. I filled out a complaint form here at SBR a month or 2 ago, I realize they probably get lots of these so I understand the delay. What I can’t understand is how it’s possible that I’m the first person this has happened too. I managed to track down the source of the gift card(citi bank). Citi informed me that the customer that bought the gift cards from them and then sold them bought them in large blocks of cards so they have no possible way of tracking the card or re-issuing a card with $0 balance. I then requested a letter from citi stating this and they would not provide it.

So whats my move here? Sportsbetting insists on a copy of the card and it’s impossible for me to provide it. My acct balance there is 5 figures and now that CBB season is winding down I’d like to get some of that out of there. Has anyone been thru a similar situation?

No dual accounts, no bonus abuse, none of the normal complaint stuff here.

    Thanks

hope someone here can help. no reason to ask for copies of a gift card. they should be able to understand what happened. i probably would have tossed the card once used. i love this place but the 1 glich here is everything has to be verifty. you have to be careful of what you use for deposits. more than a few people have called them a scam because of the verifing they insist on. again, hope someone can help, seems obvious, how this could happen to anyone.

It seems like a normal book would work with you on this. They claim the primary reason for requesting copies of the card and auth forms is to prevent chargebacks. So you would think they would have no problem going on just an auth form and no scans after the typical ********** window expires (90-120 days). Plus its such a small amount v/s your balance... and you aren't even withdrawing the full amount.

Unfortunately, you not dealing with a normal book. These guys will slow pay/no pay you for any reason they can find. I've been screwed out of well over 5 figures by these guys and sister sites. When you complain, they ignore you, or they say the check is in the mail and it never comes. My best advice is to keep bugging them every day. Get on live chat and send at least one email a day until someone finally deals with the situation.

    Good luck man.

Yeah I've been bugging them. Once every few weeks I hop on live chat and walk thru the entire process which ends up with them sending me an email stating that unless they get a copy of the gift card I can't withdraw.

Lesson learned on the gift card.

unfortunately i have learned the hard way with gift cards also, when you use it at a book they expect you to keep the card, it's pretty stupid,

I doubt you'll ever see that money since these guys are seriously the worst when it comes to having the documentation they want. You could try messaging JoshW, he might be able to help you out...

Similar thing happened to me at Stan James once. I deposited money with my ****, placed it on a future and won. By the time my wager won, I had closed that **** account. They asked for a copy of the card when I went to make a withdrawal, I told them the situation and they immediately sent me a wire transfer that I received within a few days.

The only reason they're asking you for a copy of the card is for an excuse not to pay you.

JoshW mentioned in another thread that SBR had good communication with sportsbetting so I sent him a message a few weeks ago but didn't get a response. I know they don't have a great reputation but up until this little snafu I've had no issues with sportsbetting.

I haven't heard anything from anyone. I realize the SBR complaint resolution is a free service so I'm trying to remain as patient as possible. CBB season is coming to a close and I'm going to start pushing harder to find out what needs to happen to get my money. I signed up for sportsbetting thru an rx link so I've requested the help of someone over there as well.

I'm still in the initial phase in this process. I only sent in the paper work yesterday. In the original email it says they need only the cards you have deposited with in the past 6 months. I wonder if you just wait and try again a few months later if that would work. Its been a little more than a day since ive heard anything so i guess its all in their hands.

They just sent me an email stating that I need to provide them a letter or statement from the bank that says that this credit card is no longer in use. Hopefully my bank shouldn't have a problem providing this information to me.

If this is the case than I should be able to get my money in April. I'm going to press them and see if I can get them to admit that to me. If that's the case I'll gladly wait.

Thanks for the info, going to dig back through all my old emails from them and see if this is stated anywhere.

Thanks for the info and I will try and call in a day or 2 if nothing comes through. It does seem easy to make money on here but I could just be on a good streak also.

sportbet v sportsbetting is different...are you sure its the sportsbetting.com? The only problem I've seen is this thread...perhaps I need to look deeper, but like I said, no problems....requested a payout today...we'll see how it goes I guess.

harder to get verified here than most places. just send them what they want. if they want it again then send it again. whatever the problem for getting verified is just do it. once you get this done. this place is great. only complains are about trying to get paid before being verified and complaining about all the hoops you have to jump through. it is worth it. my card is expiring in a couple months and i will have to get that card with the new expiration verified. i will send the info in probably at least twice. but after that i'll be making money and getting paid faster than most of the A books. if your not playing here you are losing out.

After 3 months of nagging customer service my issues seems to be resolved. They had me fill out a CC authorization form and simply write that it was a gift card that I no longer possessed. I'm not sure why the 458 chats/emails I had with customer service over the last 3 months not one person could have figured that out earlier but as long as I get my money I no longer care.
