BetDSI stole $762 from my account

BetDSI stole $762.00 from my account, claiming that I placed 2 wagers that exceeded my wager limit and that management had decided to retroactively remove the funds from my account. The following are the details:

On Jul 17 I placed a bet on the Nobel Peace Prize winner. I risked $500 @ +175 on the Field to win vs. Kim Jong Un and Moon Jae In, and vs. Donald Trump (solo).

On Jul 29 I attempted to risk another $250 @ +175 on the same wager. The bet was not immediately accepted or rejected, but instead it went to a trader for manual review. The DSI trader accepted my wager. Immediately after my bet was accepted, DSI moved the odds from +175 to +150.

On Aug 26 I attempted to risk another $250 @ +130 on the same wager. Again, the bet went to a trader for manual review, and the wager was also accepted. DSI again moved the odds after my wager, from +130 to +100.

On Oct 5 the Nobel Peace Prize winner was announced, and my bets won. On Oct 6 DSI settled all 3 bets as wins.

Fast forward two months later-- I discovered that on Dec 3, DSI manually removed $762.00 from my account. I was not given any notice of this transaction; no email, no message in my account inbox.

When I asked customer service, I was told that I went over my limit on the two $250 bets (@ +175 and +130), and that management had decided to retroactively remove the winnings from my account.

I am asking SBR to step in here.

-I did not exceed my limit because DSI's traders reviewed my wager requests and accepted my overlimit bets. DSI has conceded this fact in chat.

-If DSI wanted to cancel these bets, it should have done so BEFORE the winner was announced. It had over 2 months to cancel my first $250 bet, and over 1 month to cancel the second $250 bet, before the winner was announced. They failed to do this.

-Instead, DSI waited an additional 2 months AFTER the winner was announced to retroactively cancel the bets.

-There is no question that if my bets had lost DSI would have kept my $500 stake.

-The fact that DSI did not give me any notice of the removal of funds shows that DSI is aware they are in the wrong and were expecting the theft to go unnoticed.

That is absolute BS. I see poster Dwight Schrute frequently come in and comment on DSI matters, and it appears he has some say/sway there. If this story is as reported, there is no excuse for DSI's actions.

in this image you can see that all 3 bets were settled as winners on Oct 6, and then on Dec 3 they removed $762 via cashier with the description "wager limit exceeded".

this image is a portion of the chat transcript where dsi agrees that my bets were accepted by their traders, and admits to retroactively removing my winnings.

That must be a real micky mouse operation to welch on a little wager like that.

Way too many reports lately of books not following golden rule: “You book the bet, you pay the man.”

this is also against their own house rules, I would say:

All Internet betting transactions are logged and backed-up regularly. In all cases of dispute, both management and the player agree that the log backup shall serve as the final authority in the dispute and that all wagers will be adjusted accordingly. Claims must be logged within three days from the date the wager was made. No claims will be honored after this three-day period.

They probably meant to say that this is for claims made by the player - but as this rule is for "all cases of dispute", I would say it should also count for the Bookie itself.
