I get that it looks weird. But also think the OP would have explained more if it he was clearly wronged. So am just being open minded. Same as I try to be with most players who look sus at first too.

So now you have the full info. and you are still in protect-at-all-costs mode. You keep saying "I trust them to do the right thing" the same way a grandmother would say "Well, it just can't be my Johnny. He's a good boy" right after he was convicted. If you are unwilling to look at facts and have some odd emotional/financial attachment to 5D, there's really no need to comment at all in this thread.

My 5dimes account is now closed. They let me to withdraw the rest of funds I had there, I did it and... they sent me about $40 more that my current balance which approximately equals amount taken from the account earlier.
So everything ended happily for me. I just wonder why they didn't act like that at the beginning - why they didn't close my account earlier and would rather to buy a lot of bad publicity for 40 bucks.
I'm active member on some sportsbetting forums and I often recommended 5dimes as a good place, especially if your options are limited because of stupid gambling regulations, but now need to watch carefully further development of 5dimes policy.

This is standard policy at 5Dimes, most books actually just cancel wagers for off-market odds, which we're sure you would not prefer. It has always been the case and is clearly posted in the rules. In fact it is a policy SBR was consulted on many years ago and is more favorable to players who knowingly or unknowingly bet off-market odds.

"If a wager with an erroneous line is not voided before the game/play begins, Management reserves the right to remedy the odds to a fair market price which would have been available at the time the wager was placed. This price remedy may be applied during or after an event. Only the odds will be corrected on an erroneous line. The risk amount, applicable spread and total will always remain unchanged. A player will never benefit from betting on a clear erroneous line. Repeat offenders will not be tolerated."

Please define off-market odds. Is +200 vs +180 off-market? What about -120 vs -105?

There is no definition of off-market odds, they are just advertising tool for the books, which can not lose anything but gain a lot if they give an off market odds on their platform. Those odds will attract a lot of new deposits and even new customers, every book are giving these odds on purpose and not because they made an error, please keep this in mind.

And if you look 5Dimes' statement on this issue about how they will not allow anyone to benefit from those off-market odds, you can see how this scam is going well for the books. Even here on forum you can see already brainwashed players, who will say that players who take those odds are scammers and will defend a book for canceling those bets and even defend a book to lower those scammy odd the way they feel like it.

If players would not be so brainwashed, we should be the one who should demand that those scammy odds should be paid in full, and we should not care if they make a mistake or not, it is their "mistake", not ours! Sooner you will figure out that we are not the sammers but the books are, sooner we will get this industry on the right direction. But at this moment, books are freerolling us all, so do not defend them, because it is really pathetic.

edit: Have to add this. If books should paid those lines, you will not see those lines anymore, perhaps once or twice, then books will make sure, they will not make a mistake anymore. Now they are just benefiting from their "mistakes", can't you guys see this?

Those brainwashed players are longtime losers who just fire on their favorite teams regardless of price.

Rather than resent the sportsbooks for exploiting their foolishness, they jealously resent the bettors who do the things you need to do to win: bettors who shop prices, bettors who scalp lines, bettors who beat price moves, etc.

This is why I'm looking forward to legalized gambling here in the states. Earlier this year there was that incident at the fan duel sportsbook, where a player took a bad line,I believe it was live, and the book initially would not honor it, but later honored the bet, and I haven't heard of them having another "glitch" since.

This was clearly not the same, as the fan duel player was getting insane odds, and this player is getting squeezed off 20-30 cents, but the precedent should be sent that this is a book issue, and not a player issue (especially in this case).

Also, isn't the best aspect of 5D, the fact they have less juice? Just doesn't seem right to have something at -110 and later say it should have been at -125.
