Ladbrokes did not refund my money. Please help

I made a huge mistake trying to bet under 18.
So, I deposited 50 euro's to the ladbrokes site and tried to bet. I won some money and I tried to withdraw the money. Unfortunately I couldn't withdraw the money because I needed to give them my ID. I gave them my ID and they said that I was to young to play on the site and that therefore my account would be closed and their Payments department would refund back to my card the full deposit/s made whilst my account was open. So I waited, and waited... But I never got the money. I contacted them telling them I didn't get refunded and they asked me if I could send them my bank info so they could refund me my money. I did what they asked me to do and I waited again... Two weeks later I and I still didn't get refunded. So, I contacted them again a second time. I got the same message and they also assured me they would refund me my money this time. So I gave them my bank info again and waited again... Two weeks later I'm writing this and I don't know what to do. What can I do to get my money back. Please help me..

Lol. Probably a good lesson mate. If you're this concerned about 50 euros you should've never uploaded it to gamble. No idea if sbr has any connection to ladbrokes lol never heard of em

So I basically got scammed? In their Terms & Conditions it states this: "5.3 In the event we discover you are under 18 or the legal age for gambling in the jurisdiction you are resident your stake will be returned to you and we shall not be obliged to pay any winnings which might otherwise have been payable in respect of the bet." Can they go against their own Terms & Conditions? Can't I do anything to get my money back??

Sure go to the cops and tell them the illegal offshore book won't refund you the $ you put down when trying to bet underage

They said to me I needed to make another account when I turned 18. So basically start on a 0 euro balance which means I would need to deposit again. And I don't want to do that EVER again.

I'm going to go with nobody here has ever heard of ladbrokes. Or you're asking another company, who's sole purpose is gambling, to get involved to help an underage player get their $ back. The $ means a lot to you now but it's going to just end up being a lesson learned. Can't break someone's rules and then cry wolf and say they're breaking rules and want legitimate help lol

They're not going to give you the $ back. Don't give them anymore money either. If it's via debit card idk what the rules are with banks there but I'm sure you could dispute it

you're probably right Rudy, Ladbrokes is a legal, licensed book, they have no interest in robbing somebody of 50 Euros. My advice to this kid is to get in touch with them via phone, explain the situation and I am next to positive they will refund the money. If they don't it will be a huge surprise, that is unless their rules explicitly state that any type of fraud will result in loss of funds, and I doubt that very much.

in the USA a minor cannot engage in a contract, it produces what is called a voidable contract which means it can be considered legal or not legal, and can be dismissed by either party. If that is true in G Britain, there is no legal contract and the book is legally obliged to return the money. Now what is the age of majority in GB, I don't know.

so look into all that kid if you are that interested in getting back that money, it certainly wouldn't pay to get representation.

do you have these convos saved where they admit to be repaying you? were they in email or live chat?

if you have it saved they owe you the money skip to step 2

otherwise step 1: email again giving a complete update of your scenario, quote their rule, and say it has been a few weeks

step 2, when they email you back..wait a couple hours and then call

ASK FOR A SPECIFIC TIME FRAME OF WHEN PAYMENT WILL BE MADE

if its longer than a week, file a complaint at sbr (or file one now)

if still nothing after all that, more steps will need to be taken like going through the gaming board of whatever they operate through

Don't be a jackass when talking to them, but dont act like a bitch either

Its 18 for gambling here and Ladbrokes will have had many cases..

I dont really know why the money wasnt automatically returned when they found out...

They are basically stealing from a child.

Oh maybe a different card, like his parents was used?

5.3 In the event we discover you are under 18 or the legal age for gambling in the jurisdiction you are resident your stake will be returned to you and we shall not be obliged to pay any winnings which might otherwise have been payable in respect of the bet.
5.4 In the event of any of the other warranties set out in clause 5.1 or 5.2 proving to be false your stake will be forfeited and we shall not be obliged to pay any winnings which might otherwise have been payable in respect of the bet. We may also report the matter to the police, parents and the appropriate regulatory authority.
5.5 Gambling whilst under the age of 18 (or the legal age for gambling in other jurisdictions where relevant) is a criminal offence and we take our responsibilities to prevent access by under 18s very seriously. Electronic age verification checks are carried out and whilst we aim to make the process as seamless and unobtrusive as possible it may be that further information will have to be obtained direct from you.

I contacted them in live chat and they told me it would take 3-5 days to refund me (I don't have any evidence of this). They also emailed me this https://ibb.co/hMpY5e on the 9th of July and this one https://ibb.co/iZ0Fke 10 days ago (27th of July) telling me I would get refunded ..

right, we might not know all the details, when you are a kid you almost always make the scenario sound like you are in the clear and did nothing wrong, I am not assuming this kid is lying but we are in the dark. he is a minor the money should be returned, maybe he is jumping the gun because it wasn't in his pocket immediately.

whatever the story we are not talking about a fortune here.
