you wouldnt cancel the payment until you lost. im guessing the book's stance is that he would have done it if he lost.

I was not intending to imply anything. I am here trying to get the guy paid provided no shenanigans took place.
I don't really understand the BOL response provided above-why does he have to re-deposit the money if he provides the documentation? but hopefully the OP can and will comply resulting in eventual payment.
