How so? You're only getting paid on your current balance in the current value of btc. So let's say you put in 1btc worth 10k (for easy math sake) and lose 7k (70%) . If you withdrawal you're still only getting 3k of whatever that is worth in btc at the current prices, not what you put in initially

EDIT: disregard. I thought all btc books converted your coins to cash and vice versa cashing out. It appears nitro holds those btc in your account. Bravo!

Just imagine, books who are accepting Bitcoin are making record profits from
transaction fees, skimming from the top of the gains, knowing 90%
of their account holders will leave and lose it.............

Players who are using sportsbooks that convert bitcoin deposits transactions to USD are not impacted by bitcoin downswings, and have no reason to fear negative bitcoin headlines.
At the time a bitcoin deposit is placed by sportsbooks that convert BTC to USD, a player is no longer affected by fluctuations to bitcoin pricing. SBR has a rating guide filter for these companies.
For example: Once a deposit of 1 bitcoin is made, a sportsbook would apply the current exchange rate at the time of the transaction, and then at that point the balance is tracked in dollars.
While traders may enjoy speculating on the price of bitcoin and be inclined to deposit with bitcoin exclusive sportsbooks, the average sports bettor who wants to be protected from the daily swings of bitcoin should simply select a sportsbook that converts bitcoin deposits to their local currency.

Has nitrogen got hammered by any pros? How would 5dimes deal with anonymous bets? Seems like a lot of sharps play into Nitrogen....as long as they payout

internals are secret - but think about it.. Nitro has been hoarding BTC for years
we can only imagine how many BTCs they hold and accumulate. Books which
offered BTC later had to buy them. Some have to buy them to settle bets.

    may be just their incompetence

So one could not walk into the Mirage and bet 5k on NFL, but could bet 3 Bitcoin (50k) online without approval at nitrogen anonymously?

Do they impose different limits per user? I’d imagine people set up account at different locations since it’s not the same as syndicate play.. but just wondering how they can operate as a legit sportsbook when all bets are taken online with apparently huge limits

In general, it's a standard practice among risk management to impose limits by user.

There are some very legitimate sportsbooks taking bets online with large limits. They've been doing it for years and are licensed by local governments and gaming commissions.

It's against their terms but agree it seems tough to stop.

They are pretty tech heavy though so am sure they have thought about it and have some sort of defense.

Accounts always betting on the same games for the limit might set of flags to start watching for other evidence for example.

wait a sec, you sure Nitro's terms doesn't allow multiple accounts?

unless they changed it, the way their terms read the use of multiple accounts to circumvent limits, specifically is prohibited.

But I took that to mean if someone who doesn't bet max limits just felt like having 3,4,more accounts on Nitro to use anonymously as they please, there is no issue doing so.

Maybe I'm reading it wrong. Nitro has some grey areas in my opinion. I've used them small, but not comfortable with larger amounts on there, from the beginning. Always felt I might be missing out but they don't make things crystal clear in some matters.

    Yes... they do not

They may let one player go without a deep check UNTIL they have to make a substantial payout

It's only been posted here two or three times that Nitro have suspended people for multiple accounts. And it appears at least 2 of those was related to poker. It's not something that seems to be common to be penalized for over the limit betting multi accounts. I haven't heard about it myself anyway.

My guess is they can tell if you have multiple accounts by your IP address (or if its multiple IP addresses in the same area).

Have they limited any users? How can they take 50k online regardless if its a square or pro? Tony kicked about just about everyone in the forum for winning.. curious to see how the anonymous books go about taking in these bets... When you can’t even wager in Vegas for than 5k without manager approval

Hey Raiders, I know that you are very Pro-Nitrogen. However, do you have any knowledge of how Nitro maintains their player balances as it relates to BTC swings like the one that many players are currently enjoying? How much of a balance would you be comfortable with on Nitro?
