What standard would you use to prove match fixing? How long would you take to investigate before issuing a ruling?

Both of these questions scream to me that you can't cancel bets based on rumors of corruption. Any fair system would take months in order to investigate, likely a year. You can't lock up funds for that long.

Especially as others have pointed out, very few rumored fixed matches, actually are proven fixed.

In this case the UEFA or the Italian FA should rule, not some organisation to protect bookies.

As others have indeed pointed out: If punters take a shot and it's not a fix they lose their money as well, so both sides should take it on the chin and move on.

Rumours were going around hours before the match, so bookies should've removed the match like they do fairly often with suspicious Greek matches for instance.

Oddly enough a lot of bookies kept the draw option open for this match, so I suspect the ESSA failed to warn them in time.

Upon checking my account I've noticed that betclic has settled both the draw and correct score 2-2 as winning.
Since both Betclic and Interwetten are with ESSA, I think Interwetten should settle the bets as winning as well.

Bwin has still failed to settle this market for me. I have only just noticed this thread when I came on here to find out what on earth is going on. It is verging on a month since I placed the bet and my account has been shut since, with them retaining a significant amount of money.

I have emailed a few times and they have quoted match rigging rules at me and told me that they are conducting an investigation. They cannot give a time when this will be completed, nor will they give me any information on their investigation.

As other bookmakers have paid on the bet, why are Bwin allowed to withhold my money for a month? Is anyone else in the same boat? Should I file a complaint with SBR or let bwin conclude its investigation? I haven't done anything wrong, so am not worried about the outcome, I would just like my money.

    Thanks.
