BetDSI wager limit $5... to complete (bogus?) $445 rollover!

Edit by SBR to add conclusion: The player shared that he finished the rollover and withdrew his balance via bitcoin.

    _______

I’ve just submitted a SBR complaint regarding this. Might as well get it out in the open:

In August I deposit $1600 via Bitcoin and turn my balance into $4,162.63 with BetDSI.
26th August I try to withdraw, and am told I need to complete a $445 rollover before my withdrawal can be processed.

They insist that for the rollover requirement they go by what is written in their “Rollover Conditions” section under their rules (betdsi.eu/betting-rules). Here it states: “all bonuses offered at BetDSI are subjected to rollovers”. I inform them that I do NOT have a bonus (their chat support confirms this). Still they insist that what it says under that “Rollover conditions” section is what should apply to me: “Please note the lower amount between the risk and the win amount is applied toward your rollover requirement”
I argue the absurdity of this and point to the fact that friends of mine are able to play at BetDSI without being met with this rollover requirement. I spend 1.5 hours on their chat support, without receiving a straight answer as to where it states that regular customers (without a bonus) are subjected to this rollover requirement. My chat is transferred from first line support, to “Kyle Maccal”, and then finally to someone who just goes by the name of “Brock” (chat transcript is forwarded in my SBR complaint).

In the end I give up arguing with them and just accept that I will have to complete their $445 rollover (with the lower amount between the risk and the win amount being applied).

Fast forward to today and I log into my account to place some bets. Two things strike me as odd:
    1. All history of my wagers and transactions are cleared from the site. It still shows I have a balance of $4,162.63 but any history of me playing or depositing there is wiped clean.
    2. My max wager (on any sport) has been lowered to $5!

I’ve heard of people getting a $250 wager limit with BetDSI, but $5 is just ridiculous. How they expect me to complete the rollover? Answer: they don’t expect me to complete the rollover.

On 26th August when I was talking to their chat support there was no wager limit on my account. Something must have happened between that date and today. I don’t know what that could be, seeing as I have not bet there during this timeframe.

BetDSI are supposed to be one of the better rated sportsbook and I assumed my money was safe there. I am shocked and saddened by their treatment and am seeking advice on how to fight this.

In closing, here is the chat transcript from just a few minutes ago:

[13:38] XX216008: yes I logged in now and tried to make some bets and I notice two tings: 1) all history of my bets and transactions appear to be GONE, 2) my max bet on all sports is $5
[13:38] XX216008: how do you explain this? this was not the case when I talked to you on 26th August
[13:41] Kyle Maccall: let me check one moment
[13:43] Kyle Maccall: it looks like that's a upper management decision , the account now have limit of $5
[13:43] XX216008: a $5 limit that is supposed to complete a $445 rollover? what are you, crooks? and why don't you tell me the reason. what is going on here?
[13:45] Kyle Maccall: like I said its and upper management decision, base on your action
[13:45] XX216008: what action? you're an A+ rated sportsbook. I assumed my money was safe here. what action are you referring to?
[13:48] Kyle Maccall: Unfortunately sir is and upper management decision , nothing we can do to move does limits out
[13:48] XX216008: do you honestly believe I will just sit here and accept your bullshit answers? I asked you WHY. can you give me an answer or do I have to take this public?
[13:50] Kyle Maccall: you can do so sir, like i said is and upper management decision base on your action on the site, that's the answer
[13:51] XX216008: then tell me what action you are referring to. as a serious sportsbook you should give your customer an answer when they ask and not dodge the question with BS lines
[13:51] Kyle Maccall: already give you the answer thats why it was done
[13:52] XX216008: WHAT ACTION ARE YOU REFERRING TO? BE SPESIFIC PLEASE
[13:52] Kyle Maccall: base on your wagering history
[13:53] XX216008: my wagering history? what about it?
[13:54] Kyle Maccall: sir thats the answer the bottom line is that your account is limited to a $ 5 wager with a minimum of $4
[13:54] Kyle Maccall: the limit unfortunately will remain like that
[13:54] Kyle Maccall: because is an upper management decision
[13:55] XX216008: you don't have to repeat 100x times that it's an upper management decision, like I am some moron. I am asking for spesifics: what is it about my wagering history that makes you limit me to $5?
[13:56] Kyle Maccall: Sir theres no specifics I Already told you the reason
[13:56] Kyle Maccall: there nothing more to explain
[13:57] Kyle Maccall: you are the one that is not getting that is an upper management thing
[13:57] XX216008: what is the reason that my betting history and my transaction history is no longer visible when I log into my account? why have you erased all history of me using my account?
[13:58] Kyle Maccall: No that's a bug on the system that will be fix on Tuesday
[13:58] XX216008: can you transfer me to Brock please?
[13:58] Kyle Maccall: No sir , this is the end of the line in regards to this manner
[13:59] XX216008: Brock was the person who had the last word last time I was on this chat with you. it's only fitting that I talk to him and inform him how I intend to proceed
[14:00] Kyle Maccall: I understand but thats not possible, to proceed is simple complete the rollover with does limits , cash out
[14:00] Kyle Maccall: but speaking with brock is not an option
[14:01] XX216008: I'd like an email transcript of this chat
[14:01] Kyle Maccall: you can copy paste it sir we dont have a way to do it

There really is a 1x rollover on deposited money for everyone. Bonus or not.

Is this the rollover they are talking about? The 1x on deposits?

Yes it's probably on deposit. I deposited $1600 but I don't think I wagered all that amount. It's hard to give you an answer when their site is not showing betting history for me.

Even if it's a 1x rollover for everyone; I doubt the "the lower amount between the risk and the win amount is applied" line is applied to all customers.

Must be missing something you deposited 1600 and got your balance up to 4000 so you obviously bet enough to satisfy any rollover. But needless to say that's the biggest crap i ever heard and i will be withdrawing my money asap unless i hear a reason this happened!! What Bullshit if this is true book needs to be rated f minus

i would just make 100 bets at 5 each and then withdraw my money. I know that sucks but penetrate them if you have to do it just do it.

I don't think you realize the absurdity of the situation:

This means that if I were to make a $5 bet and win $2.5, then only $2.5 would be subtracted from my $445 rollover requirement. So that would be 178 of those bets to meet the rollover requirement.

I once got limited to 3-4 EUR at betadonis and had to make a 100x rollover or so with those mini limits, just placed all my bets on draw on the matches of the big European soccer leagues and got a little profit in the end

Get to clicking, bro- just make the 100 bets between 2 books- take the loss in juice, roughly $45 and get the fuk outta that book. The whole thing is ridiculous what they're making you go through!!

This is BS hate when a book AFTER they get your money changes the deal they already had with you. The crooks at Wager305 did the lowering of limits to me. I actually completed my rollover and they added on an insane number when i wanted to cash out . I had like you a text conversation proving that the pos James at the book went back on his deal and like you i was forced to bet more for a rollover that should not have existed. I ended up losing most of it so i did not care i knew i would never get the cash anyways.

But that was a newer book that screwed me this is supposed to be a great book DSI . I have not really done anything since their web switch but it seems like they have gone down the toilet since then. That $5 limit is a shitty thing to do to anyone when they are still trying to complete a rollover. Good thing you saved the chat. If they did this to you i would like to hear more about this because they had a 100% bonus i was thinking of depositing for but guess what. I have already been screwed by Wager305 and after seeing this i am holding off from depositing at DSI until i hear wth was going on here.

Lou, OPTIONAL, anyone else on here not going to step in on the players behalf? This is outright theft/ garbage by the book. They are attempting to delay paying him as long as possible. I would make 95 + money bets and just get out and never deposit again

1x rollover and using the lower of risk and win is completely normal. However, lowering your limits yo $5 before you could complete your rollover is ridiculous. Be happy it's only $445. Imagine if it was $10,000. Anyhow, this is good info, I used DSI in the past before they split from Bookmaker, but will not bother with them again.

$5 is such BS but you just have to play it out and bounce with your profit and hope they don't decide to screw you over further.

Make it my part-time job to place 178 or so $5 bets and hope that in the end they will play nice?

Let's see if SBR can get any dialogue going with them. Dealing with them on live chat was like talking to a brick wall at times.

Books have a couple of ways of calculating rollover.

They either set minimum prices that count for rollover or max bet amounts to slow your rollover down... or they let you bet what you want and calculate the lesser of risk/win.

I'd guess more US facing books use the lesser of risk/win.

If you shoot in a complaint form SBR can ask DSI to confirm the amounts are correct for you if you like.

As far as the $5 limits, that does sound unusual for DSI to do one of those "get out of here" type limits on a player but really it just means they either think you are WAY too good for them, or they don't appreciate the way you play there. Probably not much use arguing about it. Just move on.

And I also agree with the person that said just do 110 x $5 bets at -110 and get your rollover done. You can ask your SBR agent if they can negotiate a pro rata deal on the rollover if you prefer... but might be just easier and pay you more in the end to just bet the next 110 x random games around even money.

Yeah, its bullshit to limit players who have a rollover requirement and make it difficult to impossible to complete the rollover but I don't see what the big deal is here. You deposited and tripled your money - they don't want your action and limited to you $5 dollar bets so take 2-3 days finish the rollover and withdraw. Its not that hard to bet $500 dollars at $5 a game and finish the rollover in a week, and why don't you ask to speak to upper management rather than getting mad at a lower level employee - pointless. If I were you I'd just ask to be able to bet $25 a game so you can quickly complete the rollover and get out without hurting them.

If he had more rollover left to complete I would agree.

But it's not impossible to complete the roll.

Lets just hope this is an aberration and not going to be standard procedure by DSI from now on.

$5 limits just piss off players and make the book look bad. They would be better to just close accounts than do the $5 limit stuff IMHO.

Thanks Optional. As mentioned I have used the complaint form so hopefully an agent will be asigned to my case soon.

I guess my main question is; why did they all of a sudden decide to change my wager limit? Like I said, the wager limit was not in place when I spoke with them on the 26th of August. Do they just do a monthly sweep and decide what accounts to screw with?

I agree that this is making BetDSI look bad. I've always held them in very high regard.

They probably won't tell you or SBR the exact reason for the limit. Just say it is a management or traders decision and wont be changed is the usual response.

As I said above it probably means someone has looked at your betting pattern and decided you are just too sharp, or that you have been chasing steam or bad lines.

It wont be just a random sweep. Someone will have seen something to make them take the action.

SBR offices were closed Friday due to red alert from govt over storms there. It wont be until office hours and may be slightly delayed due to the storm backing work up too. If you don't hear back by mid week, reply to the confirmation email you should have received and ask fro an update.

outrageous. there is no defense for changing the max bet but not changing the rest of the rollover. they won't even let him see all his bets. your suppose just believe a shit ass book that does this to you is not lying about your rollover that they say you have to complete.

another book that everyone who believes the op in this thread should just take out their money and play elsewhere.

It's bad enough when this is done on a bonus rollover by a D book. For an A+ book to do this on a 1x deposit rollover is pretty shocking. Stop acting like a Mickey Mouse book and pay him his money.

Thanks for your thoughtful, judgemental feedback.

If you took time to read the thread before jumping on your soap box as usual lately, then you would see no bonus is involved.

Rant away though. Don't let the facts get in your way!

DSI have just had major changes. We are all assessing how they are going to be ongoing, including SBR I would assume.

Give them a chance to bed everything down before getting too angry. They have a long history of being one of the good ones.

Rant away though. Don't let the facts get in your way!

DSI have just had major changes. We are all assessing how they are going to be ongoing, including SBR I would assume.

Give them a chance to bed everything down before getting too angry. They have a long history of being one of the good ones.

never mentioned a bonus. you seem to have excuses for every book that screws up lately. I have been ranting more than usual lately. it's getting worse. A rated books are screwing people more and more. in my opinion DSI was never that good. they paid you. big deal. your suppose to get paid. without the crap going on with the $5 limit to finish over $400 in rollover. don't see how anyone thinks its ok to do that. they don't want him there. then DSI should pay him and close the account. not bust his balls because he beat them out of a few bucks and wants to get a payout. how about DSI proving he did not finish the rollover. how about lowering the rollover left because they lowered his bet limit.
