    Sweetheart Teasers

Wanted to get thoughts on if the following situation is industry standard. I had two 13 - point teasers. Both of the teasers had a no action game due to weather. The first wager had the remaining games win and was graded as a "No action." The second teaser had a loser and the entire bet was graded as a loss. To me this sounds really shitty for the bettor because the most you can do is hope for a draw If there is a "No action" in part of your teaser. If the teaser that had the remaining game lose and be counted as a loss, then the other teaser that had the remaining games win be counted as a win, or both be counted as "No action". Thoughts?

Sweetheart teasers fall into the "special teaser" category and the rules don't favor the bettor (i.e. ties lose). Canceled games are the exception. The fair thing to do would be to cancel the bet altogether or allow you to replace the canceled plays with new picks. Otherwise the Book is being allowed to take a shot at you.

Sportsbook.ag would cancel your bets (doesn't matter if the other "legs" win or lose--the entire bet is void). Their rules are:

A teaser is a type of bet that allows you to combine your bets on two or more different games. You can adjust the point spreads for those games from 4 to 5 points in Basketball and from 6 to 7 points in Football.
    Rules:

    • A ‘tie’ or ‘no action’ and a ‘win’ on a 2 team teaser shall constitute a ‘no action’ wager.
    • A ‘tie’ or a ‘no action’ and a ‘loss’ on a two team teaser shall constitute a ‘losing’ wager.
    • Ties on a 3 or more team teaser shall revert to the next lowest betting bracket for pay-off: for example: A 5 team teaser with one tie becomes a 4 team teaser (except on our special 3 team 10 point football or 7 point basketball teasers, on which the odds are 5/6 and ties lose).
    • On our special 3 team 10 point football or 7 point basketball teasers (sometimes known as Sweetheart teasers), odds are -120 (5/6) and ties lose. Only point spreads of the same sport may be placed in these special teasers. If a selection has no-action due to postponement or cancelation, the whole sweetheart teaser will have no-action.
    • You cannot combine different sports in a teaser. You can combine professional and college of the same sport.

That sounds a lot more reasonable than the explanation I got.
