Help with Bitcoin. How do I start a Bitcoin Wallet?

I am so confused about this Bitcoin stuff maybe you guys can help me. First of all, how do I start a bitcoin wallet? I understand there are different bitcoin brokers, which is the best. I am from Canada, I dont know if that matters. What I'm most confused about is, does 1 bitcoin equal 1 dollar or does the value differentiate depending on which currency you use?

    Thanks for any help

    Follow this tutorial https://www.sportsbookreview.com/spo...utorial-76950/

Except coinbase does not work with CAD anymore so instead of coinbase you want to set up an account at QuadrigaCX bitcoin exchange where you can buy bitcoin.

    https://www.quadrigacx.com/

    1. Buy bitcoins through https://www.quadrigacx.com/ (I fund QuadrigaCX with Interac transfers from Canadian bank)

    2. Set up a blockchain.info wallet.

    3. Transfer bitcoins from QuadrigaCX to blockchain.info wallet.

    4. Make all deposits and withdrawals between your blockchain.info wallet and sportsbook.

    5. To cash out transfer bitcoins from your blockchain.info wallet to QuadrigaCX.

Ok I will try and figure this out. Am I reading that correctly? 1 bitcoin equals 5088 Canadian? So if I put in 300 dollars let's say, I'm actually buying a fraction of a bitcoin?

Yes, the Bitcoin in your wallet loses value if the price goes down. Having them in your wallet simply means you have possession of them. If they're not in your wallet, they're not yours.

Sorry for so many questions but does the bitcoin fluctuate in value a lot? In one day how much can it go up or down?

    Yes it fluctuates a lot.

You need to be prepared to do your transfers ASAP to avoid as much risk as possible.

Hundreds of posters here use it daily. The fluctuations are not a big deal.

Stop asking questions and try it yourself with a small amount to experience it and your questions will fade away.

    I posted the value yesterday.

Well right NOW 1 bitcoin is worth $5257.00 CAD!

You want to buy bitcoin and deposit it right away into a book to limit your exposure.

There are many ways to buy bitcoin. I would use Kraken or Itbit. Don't use Coinbase. Their customer service takes a month to respond (literally). You don't need blockchain if you aren't transferring to a sportsbook. How much and when you should buy you must determine for yourself. I will say this though, every time I have hesitated to buy bitcoin I regretted it.
