Looks like yesterday my transaction was returned to my wallet, they credited too much back, I think they actually credited 2 back, and I had about a surplus off 1000USD, today it looks like they debit my account for 1 of the transactions that they said didn't go through but the book said it did. If I moved all btc when I saw the surplus I think there would be no way for them to claim it back but I left it in. How could something like that happen?

I am not sure what has happened but a few people have made similar reports as you.

It appears to be doubled up transactions that all get reversed fairly quickly.

I am not aware of anyone who has managed to move the phantom funds and keep them. Maybe some have and are keeping quiet but so far it seems all are the same as you. A confusing credit followed by a reversal.

Please try contacting Coinbase and if you get an explanation would appreciate you posting it for us.
