Btc prices can fall even faster than they rise.

Germany attack may threaten Merkel, may lead to a right wing EU exit group to take over... people are talking about the collapse of the EU with Italy and Spain trending in the right, now if Germany goes the the European economy will take a hit, maybe more people are starting to diversify some funds into bitcoins?

Add in the continuous lack of investment options in China and some weird currency issue in India, all could lead to more investments into Bitcoin

I could be 100% wrong but my thinking is it will continue to climb unless there's a major occurrence such as a hack at Coinbase.

There has to be at least a correction not too far down the track. Fear will make it happen once too many people are more than double their money.

Too many people bought in around that $500 mark in the lead up to the halvening.

China, India and Trump have been good to bitcoin recently. One major issue is scalability. Segwit, Lightning and Bitcoin Unlimited will play major roles in the price of bitcoin. There's a war going on right now to solve the block size problem.

There's a current block size of 1 MB. This needs to be increased now that bitcoin is becoming more popular. SegWit would solve the problem. In order for the soft fork to occur, 95% of the hash power has to agree. ViaBTC represents approximately 6% of the hash power. ViaBTC is rejecting SegWit. They want Bitcoin Unlimited.

Just look at the chart. It dropped from $1000 to under $200 in a little over a year (2014). No reason why that couldn't happen again.

So are you guys saying I shouldn't immediately turn mine to $$ after I cash in Beat the Prick???

I've got some major studying to do here. Just what I needed, something new I have no clue about and have to learn. And related to technology too, awesome. I miss the days of no computers, cell phones, or internet, and getting up to change your TV channel. Simple times.

Real Simple Man if you want to hold it in BTC keep it in your blockchain wallet if you want to hold it in USD deposit from your blockchain wallet into Bovada or bitpay.

I was clueless about bitcoin up until about a year ago when I watched the 4 part tutorial series of videos that SBR did. After I watched the videos which were about half hour total, I felt much more knowledgeable and comfortable to try it out.

Yes real easy to do. When the book said I should switch to Bitcoin, I was like, I said no way, this is over my head. I tried it, and would never deposit or withdraw any other way. It really is easy. I have been doing it for only 6 months, and now even thinking about getting into the mining part.

I have talked to a lot of people that will not do it, because they thought you could only spend Bitcoin on line, and that is not true as you guys here know. Once they found out that you can send to your Bank account, or get a Bitpay card, which works great, they tried it, and they said the same as i do, would not do anything else but Bitcoin

So does this mean we are f-d on January 3 when BTP pays out, as we'll all be getting them super high, only to have them drop in value from there on?

So if a bitcoin is worth so many damn dollars, that means you buy shit for like $.0015 bitcoins and whatnot? Sounds potentially annoying, lol.

If you want to avoid fluctuations just open a Coinbase account and swap it straight to fiat currency when you get it.

Or send it straight to a book to deposit as US$

Once you use some it will seem easier than you have imagined. And doubt it will be annoying.
