    SCAM - Novibet (Resolved Problem)

I already filed a complaint at SBR about this sportsbook back in January but did not get a reply yet (and probably won't ever get one) so I will just copy+paste the e-mail I sent to SBR on January 30, 2017:

Hi Brad, I have to make a complaint about Novibet. I opened my account at Novibet in June, 2016. Until last week I have made 5 deposits in the total amount of 2,200 EUR. Most of the time I was losing. Never made a withdrawal. Until last week I placed 37 bets, lost 33 bets, won only 4 bets. So far, so good. Last week I found a good spot and placed 9 bets on a soccer friendly match. I won 8 out of 9. These bets are pending since then. My account has been temporarily suspended. Their support asked me for a selfie with ID card beside my face and a proof of registered mobile number although my account had been verified back in July, 2016. I sent them those things but it didn't change anything. My account is still under review. Can you please contact them to ask what I've done wrong? It's about 2,222.61 EUR (stake of 500 EUR, total winnings of 2,222.61 EUR). Thanks. xxxxxxx

So almost 3 months gone and no update by Novibet. 4 days ago I asked them when the review will be completed and they answered:

    Dear xxxxxx,

    Τhank you for your message.

We would like to inform you, that you will be informed via email as soon as the review will be completed, we are waiting for the official reply.

You can proceed to any action you want to, about you account.

For any questions or clarifications, do not hesitate to contact customer support at any time!

    Kind regards,
    Ioanna

Those "under review" tactics by bookies are the most annoying ones because there is nothing you can do about it than just wait and wait and wait...I have a similiar issue at Vitalbet where I've been waiting almost half a year.

So avoid this scambook at all costs. They don't even pay out losing accounts.

I just checked and there is no sign of that email in the system or spam/deleted.

If you shoot in a sportsbook complaint form with your account ID we can try asking them about it for you.

Now I also filed a complaint at the Isle of Man government body, the UK gambling commission and the IBAS UK (Independent Betting Adjudication Service) knowing of course it will be without an outcome because as we all know there is no serious players' lobby anywhere in the world.

I figured you must have emailed it direct with it addressed to Brad. Not sure what happened to it sorry but should be good this time.

I've found IoM to be one of the more responsive regulators in the past. Hopefully they surprise you ;-)

    ISSUE RESOLVED!

After receiving an answer by the IBAS last week I yesterday received an e-mail from Novibet in which they stated that my account has been reactivated.

My withdrawal has already been processed (funds not on my account yet but should be within 2-5 days).

So @lonnie55 are they still considered borderline scammer?

Not sure, most of the recent reports were positive in terms of payouts. Just be cautious. Do not request high withdrawal amounts and you probably will be fine.

Have not seen the name brought up in a long time. Which is a good sign.

I had the id next to face and phone number evidence request as well, complied and they paid. I have heard from others that they do this fairly frequently, more so than other books, but not on a 'scam' level.

The phone evidence was a strange one, in UK SIM cards can be bought anywhere for almost no cost. You can then register the number under any name you like and take a screenshot. So it is just a nonsense.

I did not know that. Surprised.
