See a lot of limiting threads out there these days so figured I'd throw my recent story into the ring.
Had an account with wagerweb for a few months now but never made a deposit. Logged in a couple days ago to see they had $500 live limits which are reasonable. (while fully logged in to be sure the limits were real) Noticed they are the same skin as heritage so called them beforehand to be sure it was okay to have an account with heritage, and an account with them. No reason to deposit into a book that can cause issues with this type of thing. Was told "no problem at all, we are a completely different company and you are free to have an account with both. Great. I debate taking a bonus as they have some pretty good offers but decide against it so I don't have to deal with rollovers and can take my money as I please.
I make my deposit, and later that night go to place a few live wagers. Guess what? $100 limits. I place two $100 hockey wagers on -300's to see if the system will allow re-bets. Nope, $100 per game limit. Account is essentially worthless.
The next morning I log in, live limits are $50. At this point I was going to take my money out regardless because $100 was pointless as is, but yup limited again.
I call in, speak to customer service who tells me there's a note about my limits cut to $50. I ask for a manager and speak to the head of the sales department. Dude was very cool and I actually had a really good conversation with him. He agreed with me that limiting my account before placing a single wager was unheard of. They are known to limit players in live betting who ONLY play live betting, and he admitted as such. But my intention was to mix live betting with regular wagers to avoid going down that path. They never even gave me the chance to do so and he agreed with me it was odd. He said they must've limited me based on my heritage history. Won a lot on heritage and they just didn't want to take that risk. This is absurd to me on every level especially when I was intending to mix my play between live and regular wagers. They couldn't even give my account a CHANCE?
I tell him I called in long before my deposit to ask about their relationship with heritage because I want to make sure I am doing nothing wrong, and he was one of the ones I actually spoke to. He apologized and said he should've done more research into my history and said he'd go to bat for me and speak to the top managers. He does, and comes back with a sorry, I did everything I could but they just don't want your action.
Sad, but a story I felt I needed to share.
