Has this happened to anyone else...

Recently signed up with BetDSI at the end of January 2018...Started with an initial deposit of $800 and built the account up to $5,000 as of Saturday morning. Yesterday I noticed they withdrew from the account my initial deposit amount of $800. Upon asking them what was up I was told the fraud department wanted to speak with me over the phone. Upon speaking to the Manager of Fraud he said my account was being investigated for being correlated with two other accounts (No idea what that means) he says they decided to refund back to me the amount of my initial deposit to protect me and the company while they conduct the investigation but that I could still use the account to make wagers etc. but could not withdraw. He did not give any other details about this investigation and seemed to very much stumble over his words when i was pressing for any sort of explanation. This all has come out of left field. I have been with the book for only 1 month, upon reviewing SBR reviews I noticed they are downgraded to a D so I wonder if this is happening to others.

Has this happened to anyone else with BetDSI? Is there any recourse?

just a ploy to get you to lose back the money you won rather than let you attempt to withdraw it. playing with your mind to get you to think well i can't withdraw it so i just might as well bet it out with larger plays and if i lose so what. just stay out of their casino or your balance will disappear faster than a spring snowstorm.

Maybe, but I am skeptical they will come back to me and say everything is ok with your account, especially with the way the "Manager" was acting over the phone during our call...Seems like a hopeless situation and I spent so much time building it up to where the balance is at today, very frustrating

you didn't spend that much time since you have only been playing there 2 1/2 weeks. remarkable that you built it up to that level. that raises red flags with them. you got their attention. they are worried that you might actually try to withdraw and would have to use their processor stall tactic to avoid paying you. the investigation will take months or until you lose it all back which is their foolproof plan to avoid paying you.

Yeah that's tough. It's a low rated book and I agree with the other posters about the tactics being used.

I however, checked in to laugh at your sense of time...

haha, hey thats still a months worth of work night in, night out, its a grind lol...I guess I have no recourse in this situation, they refunded my deposit almost as if to say we gave you back your original investment but you aren't getting anything more that you've made.

Be patient and piss them off by not losing.

You can always fill out a complaint form from SBR if you aren't getting a sufficient explanation or are getting more of the run around.

I get it, even two weeks of night in and night out feels like an enternity.

I suggest you take your 800, put it in a top book, and get back to the grind.

Let that other account just simmer, place no more bets then call SBR when they get desperate for your action. Stall them out on this one then see what SBR can do for you.

    Let us know what happens.

fill out a complaint on SBR

But kinda fishy story...did u take a bonus? and why did you not research the book before depositing?

Funny (maybe not funny) but seems like a rash of "frauds" stuff of late and most seems like the players are high suspicion not the book

Thanks KVB, I did submit a complaint form through SBR yesterday, has anyone had any luck with getting SBR involved in a similar type situation?

think SBR is pretty good if book cares about its reputation. I am not sure if SBR gets back to you or only once they reach the book. So might be awhile before you hear from SBR as well, not sure

sbr has a decent success rate but i wouldn't hold out much hope in your case. they are just going to say we have to go through all our accounts for the last 20 years to make sure this guy isn't a duplicate account or whatever excuse they are using to stall quick winning hitters like this. i wouldn't completely stop betting with them but reduce your amounts to a level much lower than you must have been it to win this much so quick. curious as to how you did it. all the round the clock studying isn't going to make you know who is going to miss a free throw or what team is going to dribble out the clock if you won it in baskets. that's quite the remarkable run up you achieved they figure if you continue to bet at that level they will get what they want. that is your balance back to where they want it. guaranteed they are not doing any investigation at all, just saying they are since they know no one can prove it.

I've had losing days and bad beats, what I meant by the comment about putting the work in is referring to reading articles, listening to podcasts etc. but that doesn't guarantee anyone success...I guess it was a good run but we arent talking about $50K here...Its basically been a profit of $4000 in a month, I wouldn't say thats unheard of...I'll probably go on a run where I donate it all back over the next month lol, I guess it was the short time frame that caught their attention? because the amount is not material

well, running 800 up to 5000 with bad beats and losing days seems unattainable to most. possible i suppose but we are all wondering how you did it. it doesn't seem like you tried to withdraw, so doubtful sbr can do anything. they didn't suspend your account, just telling you not to try bothering to withdraw until they "investigate" which of course they are not doing.

I actually did request a withdrawal last week through their live chat. The live chat agent confirmed they had put through the request. After not seeing the amount debited from the account days later, I started another live chat where this agent said it takes up to 15 business days. When I saw the activity in my account yesterday with the refund of 800 thats what initiated me to inquire once again and thats when I was told the account was under investigation and they were refunding me my original deposit.

suspect you requested a withdrawal amount for more than you should have which is what prompted the red flag since you were a new customer. not more than you were entitled to but more than they felt like paying out. so they used this common practice "investigation into something amiss" tactic to prevent the withdraw for now.

I requested a withdrawal in the amount of $2000, I guess I didn't think i was breaking their bank with that request. If they have problems with an amount like that I suspect they are barely surviving. thanks for the feedback on this. We will see if SBR can help out the cause (fingers crossed)

i can hear them in there now. "this guy wants $2000 after only 3 weeks. fat chance" "if he kept winning maybe we'd shove his $800 back to him after a couple of months". you asked for too much too soon from these guys. it isn't right but they are holding all the cards and money.

$2000 isnt too much. Don't worry about that.

DSI have done a few weird things recently and have been heavily downgraded in rating. Hopefully the communication channels remain open enough for SBR to help find out whats going on for you.

**Update** Received an email from DSI in response to my original payout request last week. The email states "Your payout was rejected for having multiple accounts" I called them again and spoke with their fraud department. They claim there is multiple accounts with the same deposit and wager patterns which is a lie I only have one account with them and don't know anyone else with an account. Still haven't received any response from the SBR complaint I submitted

    Thanks for the update Royal.

Another classic claim as a stall tactic.

They need to get a new book to work from, these excuses are so played out.

There are people who do try to cheat the book with multiple accounts, so the issue is sometimes a real issue (hopefully the OP is honest here) but it has also been used as a delay tactic.

I suspect the story evolved as SBR sought an answer.

Are they still investigating? Are they saying you can bet with the funds left in the account? Have they made a final decision?

If you still have accounts access, don't bet. Stall them out until they can provide SBR with proof.

    It's worth a shot.

Yes, I can still use the account, all they've done at this point is refund my original deposit amount, but it is still up an running. I'm just wondering if there is anyway I will ever be able to access the funds I've earned....At this point if I go to the payout page they have removed any options to request a payout and I cant get any answers over the phone. I have not heard from SBR directly on the complaint I filed not sure if its their protocol to continuously follow-up with me. I just feel like BetDSI can claim they found suspicious activity, which isn't the case, and there will be nothing I can ever do about it and those monies are lost...

Also, can someone explain to me a little more how SBR plays a role in these sorts of situations. What's in it for the books to give SBR any answers or feel pressure once they are involved, especially when BetDSI is currently at a D+ rating (Something I wish I knew before I joined)

Royal we are here to help you make educated decisions when it comes to selecting your book. We have been the watchdog for the player and the books for many years. It is in the books best interest to do the right thing for both themselves and the players. We here provide a third party assistance format to help both sides. Things can change fast in the wagering industry...what people enjoy to wager on today certainly was not the same as it was 20 years ago. There are dynamic aspects of not only choosing the correct book but to your approach of this.

    Help from SBR?

    Hi Everyone,

Just curious on some of the success stories with filling out a complaint form with SBR? I have a situation with BetDSI from a prior post and haven't really got anywhere with it. I did fill out a complaint form with SBR and it hasn't really helped in resolving the situation so just wondering if others have had positive outcomes from escalating it to them?

What issue are you referring to here?

And have you been paid re the problem in this thread as yet?

If not, please reply to the complaint submission confirmation email, include a link to the SBR Forum post above, and tell admin that you have not been paid despite their advice you would be. And ask for an update.

    Hi All,

Just to provide an update, DSI has finally lifted the fake investigation being conducted and I was able to pull my funds out of the book. I want to just say thanks to all those in the forum who gave suggestions as well as the people at SBR for inquiring further on this matter!

They must have received enough deposits lately to cover your balance. So now they finish the investigation.

Im going through a similar situation myself, no investigation though, ive been approved and verified for a wire , turned 80$deposit to almost 8k now in two weeks, all small bets, no crazy parlays etc and the excuses they are using to stall my payout is downright ridiculous. Now they are saying there is no such person as the one who took my bank information last week for my wire. I said it's from the same email docverification you have emailed me from the get go. I can't wait to get this $ and leave this book. This is my first sportsbook ever and it's been a nightmare

    Hmmm.

You sure have a lot of interest and opinions about a bunch of low rated books for someone who has only ever bet for a few weeks.

If you really are this new, I'd suggest getting some experience with the A rated books before getting so involved with the smaller and bonus books you keep postng about.

I'm glad to hear you are getting your money. It can be tough for genuine female bettors in this industry. You will always be under suspicion and many of the less reputable books will act against you on suspicion only. As DSI was trying to do.

But as unfair as that is, you need to understand that and take responsibility yourself, more responsibility than a male, to not be attracted to try books where this is going to happen.

Yup you hit that on the head. I'm going to research before joining a sportsbook now. Glad I found this website when googling ☺
