#142At the time of the account being compromised, I do use the same password at one other sportsbook (have about 10 active sportsbook in total) and at one bank. I have two other accounts that uses a variant of the password at BP. None of the other sportsbook that I use the same pw or variants of, have any problem with accounts being hacked into.
Sorry, I am not very comfortable with giving my pw on a open forum. If you do want to know, I can send it privately to you.
What is the second sportsbook (change that PW first)?Comment -

#144The other sportsbook that uses the same password is Betjamaica. I have since changed the password at BJ and my bank after the BP account have been compromised. Even though it's not in use anymore, I just wasn't comfortable with giving out my password to the forum. I have no problem with (and actually already did) giving out the password in an email to Lou after he requested answers to the questions you listed.Comment -

#145Bill,
Besides me and Marauders, there are at least two other SBR posters this has happened to. One is "chantech". He had his own thread about someone playing in the casino on his account. He got all of the lost money refunded the very same day! I don't know why that happened for him.
The other one is pjesnick24. He started the BP casino hack thread. Did he ever submit an SBR complaint? I have PMed him asking him to submit a complaint, and to join the discussion.Comment -

I have exchanged PMs with pjesnick24. He was eventually given a full refund by BetPhoenix.Comment -

#151its very easy to do - the hacker backs a high odds event and lay off at the betting exchange . thats how you take out the money fairly easy anyone could clean out his account like this. there are even more sophisticated versions of this.Comment -

#152I have not heard anything on any front. I contacted BP today and they said they have nothing new to tell me.
I am going to request that they provide me with their logs which show my log ins and the corresponding IP addresses.
I'd like to thank all of the posters who have supported me. When a book straight steals a players money like this, only pressure from customers/potential customers can ever rectify the situation.Comment -

I haven't checked in with BP this weekend but know SBR is communicating with them. BP is going to do a full audit of what happened and look into all of the Qs we had about the matter. It's not an overnight dispute but I'd expect Phoenix to conclude this next week with it's position on what exactly happened.Comment -

Again, I'm not calling this guy a liar, I'm just saying I don't think it was wrong BP let the plays go. They should, however, keep looking into it and return the money if they find it was hacked.Comment -
