Issue with one of the books

    Hello everyone,

I am new to online betting and am having an issue with one of the recommended books here. I would like to know if they are being unreasonable, or if it is just me. Here is the timeline of events:

    - Deposited $20 via iDebit.

    - Placed $20 worth of bets, lost.

    - Liked how the process worked, so I made a larger deposit of $400 via Credit Card.

    - The initial deposit was placed on hold by iDebit pending identity verification (Passport scan and bank statements)

    - My betting account was locked because of this $20 being placed on hold, although the book already let me place bets assuming it would clear - which it has cleared my bank account, just not iDebit.

    - Balance would be my $400 minus the $20 that hasn't cleared yet = $380 sitting in my account.

The book now has my money locked away until I can clear the $20 issue with iDebit regarding my identification. Here is where the problem starts; Idebit is impossible to contact. The department that needs to deal with the issue only has an email, and they don't respond to emails sent to them over a week ago. The book will not release my account without the issue being cleared, but i Cannot contact them. I have offered to pay the book an additional $20 to cover the transaction that is on hold, but was told that is not an option. Currently my money is locked, and I am unable to place bets or withdraw at all until the issue with iDebit is resolved (which doesn't seem possible, seeing as how I cannot contact them.) I have also requested just to withdraw the $400 deposit minus the $20 that is on hold, and was told that is also not possible.

Are they being unreasonable not allowing me to pay the $20 that is on hold, and not offering any other solution other than to deal with iDebit?

You sound like you have done your best and they sound like they are being a bit hard nosed about it but without knowing their reasoning it's hard to say for sure. It isn't abnormal for some books to lock your account whilst doing the KYC process if anything questionable comes up.

if you would like to fill in a sportsbook complaint form SBR may be able to help sort it out.

Thanks for the link, will do. Honestly, would just like my $400 deposit back minus the $20 being held at the moment. Would like to go to another book and never deal with iDebit again.

Update in case anyone is interested: I was able to contact iDebit after two weeks and was able to resolve the issue and get my account opened back up.
